Overview
Slide open the glass doors, settle into a rocking chair on the covered porch, and watch the light shift over the trees and mountain views while the coffee brews inside. The Firelight Lodge is a red cabin-style home with a carved bear standing guard by the front door and river rock gardens lining the walk. Inside, wood beams stretch across the ceilings and a brick fireplace anchors the living room. A converted garage game room keeps everyone playing long after dark, and a fenced yard on about half an acre gives dogs room to run. A queen sofa bed in the living room adds room for one more. Bedroom 1 features a king bed and makes a restful retreat for a couple. In the bedrooms, ceiling fans and windows that look out into green trees set a calm, woodsy mood. Bedroom 2 also offers a king bed. It gives a second couple or a pair of parents a private place to unwind after a day on the trails. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and suits another couple or a solo traveler who wants a quiet room of their own. Bedroom 4 is the kids' favorite. A black metal twin-over-queen bunk bed is dressed in plaid bedding, with a navy dresser set beneath a tree-view window. The living room's queen sofa bed sleeps one or two more guests. Around the home, the rooms reveal rustic touches: a whitewashed brick accent wall, TVs on distressed dressers, louvered closets and a cushioned window seat with built-in shelves beside a glass-paneled door to the outside. Bathrooms Three bathrooms keep busy mornings moving. One bathroom pairs a white subway tile walk-in shower and handheld showerhead with a wood-top vanity and vessel sink. A second full bath also has a vessel sink on a wood vanity beneath a large framed mirror. The half bath adds an updated wood vanity with a brushed nickel faucet. A separate vanity nook in the hallway gives everyone another spot to get ready. Living Areas The living room centers on a red brick fireplace with a mantel. A big blue sectional with colorful pillows wraps around a trunk coffee table, with a leather recliner and a TV nearby. Wood plank floors, exposed beams and a ceiling fan complete the cabin feel. Sliding glass doors open to the covered porch, where rocking chairs and bar stools take in the trees and mountain views. Kitchen & Dining The galley kitchen pairs oak cabinets and wood countertops with pendant lights and a corrugated metal ceiling. It is stocked with a stainless refrigerator, electric range, microwave and dishwasher, plus a blender, toaster, ice maker and wine glasses. A coffee station holds both a Keurig and a drip maker. Next door, the dining table with blue spindle chairs sits under a chandelier and exposed beams and flows openly into the living room. A mudroom bench with cubbies keeps boots and jackets out of the way. Game Room The converted garage is made for friendly rivalries. Slide pucks down the long shuffleboard table, face off at foosball, or sink into the gray sectional to watch the game on the 70-inch TV. Bar stools, sports flags and an extra fridge for drinks keep the energy up. Board games and children's books and toys are on hand for quieter moments. Outdoor Living Out front, a dark wood table seats six under a tan market umbrella, with a patio heater and BBQ grill for cool evenings. A white pergola shades gray wicker sectionals around a glass-topped fire table. In the gravel yard, red Adirondack chairs circle the fire pit beneath string lights and tall pines, perfect for s'mores and stargazing. The fenced yard gives dogs plenty of space to explore. This home was amazing! Our family of 4 stayed here for a week to enjoy Yosemite and Bass Lake. The home was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities you would need...including an awesome game room for teens! We felt right at home here. The location was perfect between the National Park, Bass Lake, and so many other fun activities in the area. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with lots of wildlife cruising around. We saw lots of deer! We will definitely come back to make more family memories in this home. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Firelight was exactly as described. The location, amenities, and host made it an ideal spot for my families trip. We will be back.
Excellent home about an hour twenty from Yosemite. Clean, great amenities, comfortable stay. Would stay here again.
BOOK IT! Vacasa had to move my reservation to this home due to difficulties with my previously reserved home. IM SO GLAD THEY DID! So close to everything you would do in the area, so many bedrooms for privacy, but so many shared space areas! I loved my stay it was so clean, comfortable, and welcoming! I did NOT want to leave!!! PLENTY of space for up to 8 adults- one room is just bunk beds set low to the floor for kids but two adult singles could share that space :) the hot tub was great, there were multiple spots to hangout at as a group including the two fire pits (I didn’t try them :( tho), 3 tables that fit up to 8 people (2 are outdoors), the garage is converted to a game room (didn’t try either due to short stay), the hot tub, the porch swing, the large balcony, and the comfy living room with a fireplace, L sectional couch, massage chair, and an awesome Weird shaped but SOOOO comfortable chair in the corner of the room. It is also a pet friendly home for groups w fur babies. 2.5 baths! Really cool spot; would stay again!!
Stayed here for a wedding at the lodge at Two Moons which was a quick 15-20 minute drive. Great location for bass lake, oakhurst and Yosemite. Plenty of space in the house for a group. Fully fenced in yard, great for kids and pets. Comfortable beds. Outdoor grill area and hot tub. Great base camp for exploring the area!
The host was amazing, the house was amazing, and my family definitely want to come back next year. Plus it was great that the entrance to Yosemite was 20 minutes away!
