Excellent place will definitely be coming back
This was the first time I used Vacasa and I will never use it again. Problems started 2 hours before check-in. I received a text message from Vacasa saying that wifi would not be available during the duration of our stay. No apologies for the inconvenience, no comment on if there was a solution being worked on. Immediately after receiving the text message I got a call. The man I spoke with was unprofessional, a tad rude, and all he did was tell me that wifi would be unavailable during the stay. I asked him if a solution was being worked on, he said he didn’t know. I asked him if I was going to be compensated, he said he didn’t know. I asked him, what the next steps were in BEING compensated and he said he would ask and someone would get back to me. Not having internet is not the end of the world, however, I chose this specific spot because wifi was an amenity and a lot of us on this trip had work to do over the weekend/monday morning so finding out 2 hours before check-in (when we’re already on the road) that a crucial amenity would not be available did not give us any time to make adjustments. I felt extremely unconfident in the man’s ability to do anything so I contacted support and told them of the situation, they said I would receive an update ASAP. We ran late so we didn’t check-in until about 6pm which is about when I followed up. I was told offices were closed and I would receive an update the next day. The house itself was beautiful. Accommodations were great. Enough bedrooms and beds for everyone to have their own space. As we walked around the property we noticed trash. Food wrappers, beer bottles, not a big deal things can be missed. The next day I went to start making breakfast for everyone and all the dishes in the cupboards were dirty. Almost as if they had just been splashed with a little bit of water and then put away. Food remnants on everything, mouth stains on all the glasses. It was DISGUSTING! I had to rewatch every single dish before using it the entire weekend. The air conditioning is connected to the wifi so the entire weekend the house was at about 74-79 degrees. And we would’ve just opened the doors and windows except there was a fire about 20 miles away and the air quality was unhealthy all weekend. So eight of us were stuck in a hot house with nowhere to go for four days. I was offered monetary compensation for the lack of the listed amenity HOWEVER it was less than 2% of the entire price of the rental so NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. Worst stay ever. Vacasa and this homeowner are terrible!
Wow! Very nice place for a family or close friends. Ours was a family vacation. There is a main house with four bedrooms and two bathrooms and big kitchen. There is also an adjacent house with three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Pet friendly, WIFI, and TV with Streaming Services. There is a river and falls within walking distance. Place is private on 11 acres. Bass Lake is close and quite pleasant. Yosemite Park is less than an hour away. Sugar Pine Railroad ride is about 1/2 hour away. The place is close to lots of sights. The place is managed by Vacasa. I was contacted to find out if stay was going well. Everyone I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. This is a very nice place!
We enjoyed the sites of the surrounding area and visited the Mono Indian Museum (which was VERY interesting). Yosemite was also a hit!
The property is secluded and beautiful. We were 12 people ranging from 3 to 65. We very much enjoyed our stay in this spacious property. It was wonderful having two homes, allowing the young children to nap in the guest home while the rest of us could be at ease in the main house. With lots of activities at the home, and the nearby swimming hole and Whiskey Falls, we were never at a loss for entertainment.
