Great location near south entrance of Yosemite. Cabin is well appointed with all the supplies you could ask for and then some. It was convenient to have coffee filters, even coffee grinder and fresh beans provided. The kitchen has all the tools you’ll need for meal prep and grilling on the deck. There was even a drawer stocked with zip lock bags and Saran Wrap which was handy to supplement what we typically bring. Be prepared for no dishwasher, but that was fine by us. Speaking of the deck, it’s a great spot to relax and grill. There are a few other cabins nearby so the deck is not super private, but other nearby guests were respectful and enjoying the superb location. The bedding and furniture is comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are dated, but were serviceable. One star taken off for cleanliness due to the fact you’re washing dishes by hand and relying on the hand washing skills of prior guests. Also, the walls and floors were a bit dusty and could use a deep clean. Otherwise the cabin was well kept and cozy. We really enjoyed Chief Peak Cabin and would stay again. You can tell the owners really take pride in their place!

Chief Peak Cabin exceeded our expectations. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with huge windows that frame an incredible view and make you feel like you’re part of the surrounding forest. It was quiet, peaceful, and private—we spent hours just listening to the breeze through the trees and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We especially loved the tasteful bear-themed décor throughout the cabin, which gave it an authentic mountain lodge feel. The kitchen was exceptionally well organized and stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals. We ended up eating every meal on the deck because the views and weather were just too good to pass up. Communication and check-in were seamless, and the cabin was exactly as advertised. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a trip with friends, this is a fantastic place to stay. We’d absolutely book Chief Peak Cabin again.

Nice location, well equipped place, quiet. One small issue to keep in mind if you cook - no dishwasher.

Intimate and roomy at the same time. It can accommodate 2 couples and kids in comfort. Kitchen is first class. The view from the living room feels like you’re the only one in the forest. A total winner. We will definitely be back to this cabin! Do your family a favor and book your next mountain vacation here. Trust me, your wife will love it.

It was a very cozy place to stay. The house layout was so whimsical it felt like a fort. We were there for a week long conference with coworkers and we all had an area to relax in and work. Would definitely Sta here again.
