Vernal Vista

It was a nice respite away from the crowds of Yosemite. Since it's still in the park you also avoid any early morning lines, but you still have to plan for a 45 min drive each way every day. Def plan to bring your own food and cook. Your only other option is whatever is available in the Yosemite Village. The beds could use some updating, and since there's no AC more fans would be nice to cool things down more quickly for everyone. It wasn't bad overnight with the windows open but it definitely took it awhile before it got comfortable.

All amenities are outdated. If you planning to stay in summer month please note there is no AC. The house was very hot during our stay and we had to leave a day early

This home is just outside the park, which helps you get a jump on the crowds. It has no air conditioning, but summer nights typically are cool enough to sleep with the windows open.

Great views from home and at least a 35 to 45 minutes ride to Valley

The house was close to everything we wanted to visit in Yosemite. We liked having a home base to come back to every night to do laundry and make a home cooked meal. We saw so many animals while there: fox, deer, and even a bear in the backyard!

This place was incredible! So quiet, you could hear a pin drop. The nighttime sky views were unbeatable - Milky Way visible. I didn’t appreciate when we rented it that, even though the property was outside the border of the park, you don’t have to go through the gate of the park because you do it miles beforehand. So we didn’t have to worry about beating long lines at the gate in the morning. It’s also a little cooler than Yosemite Valley thanks to the altitude which is welcome on a hot summer day! Would recommend this place 100%!
