Overview
- Built in 1922 with an addition added in 1947, this is one of the last original McCall cabins. It has the warm, welcoming feeling of a beloved family cabin, with a quiet setting and easy access to Payette Lake. - The cozy living room is a favorite spot to settle in with a cup of coffee and watch the water. The compact kitchen is equipped for simple meals and everyday preparation, and the dining area offers a comfortable place to gather. - Outside, enjoy the lake from the shared dock, with a private boat slip reserved for your stay. Grill, relax, and watch the activity on the water, or spend the day swimming, boating, and exploring Payette Lake. - The cabin is just a two-minute walk from Shore Lodge and about five minutes from Rotary Park, Alpine Pantry, and Lardo's. The free Red Line McCall Transit also stops nearby, making it easy to head downtown without worrying about parking. DOCK & LAKE ACCESS - Shared dock with private boat slip (10 feet x 16 feet), will fit one small boat (suitable for a 20-foot boat with an 8-foot beam). Boat must be launched at the marina, not on site. - Easy access to Payette Lake - Please note that the dock is shared and the full dock is not available for guest use - Dock removal begins on September 20 and is not available for guest use after this date THE HOME A cozy historic cabin with original McCall character, comfortable gathering spaces, and an open loft sleeping area. Main level: - Cozy living room (with 1 sleeper sofa) - Sunroom (with 1 sleeper sofa) - Kitchen - Dining area - Full bathroom (shower only) - Access to outdoor space - Please note, this home is not equipped with air conditioning Loft: - Open layout with no traditional bedroom door - King bed (new mattress as of Aug. 2026) - 2 twin beds (new mattresses as of Aug. 2026) - Dividing wall between the king and twin sleeping areas - Please note, the loft is unsuitable for young children or adults with mobility issues SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The cabin sleeps up to 6 guests. Main level: - 2 queen sleeper sofas, one in living room, one in sunroom Loft*: - 1 king bed - 2 twin beds *Please note that the loft is an open sleeping area rather than a traditional bedroom. A dividing wall separates the king bed from the two twin beds. The loft is unsuitable for young children or adults with mobility issues. KITCHEN & LIVING The compact kitchen is equipped for simple meals and everyday preparation, with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, small stove, and coffee maker. Please note that there is no dishwasher. The cozy living room and bonus sunroom are comfortable spaces to relax, play games, or enjoy a cup of coffee . The cabin's historic character and simple layout make it feel like a true family cabin, with elements like the wood burning fireplace*. OUTDOOR SPACE - Shared dock with private boat slip - Fire pit - Hammock - Easy access to Payette Lake - Outdoor space for relaxing and grilling - Quiet neighborhood setting ADDITIONAL HOME DETAILS - Free WiFi - Gas grill - *Wood burning fireplace (out of service until after 9/10) - Secure E-lock entry with a unique access code that resets between every stay - Please note, this home is not equipped with air conditioning - Please note, the loft is unsuitable for young children or adults with mobility issues PARKING: 2 spaces - Parking available for up to 2 vehicles (one truck/suv and one small car, two large vehicles will not fit) - One small boat trailer is permitted, the boat trailer must be able to backed into the space in between two trees, that is a 8x15 foot space HOUSE RULES - The primary guest booking the reservation must be 21 years or older. Families and guests of all ages are welcome. - No smoking permitted in the home - 1 pet is permitted for an additional pet fee (45lbs or less), please note, pets are not allowed on furniture at any time PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED STAY This home is professionally managed by a locally owned team. We have a 24-hour guest support line if anything comes up, and we're always happy to share local recommendations. Our housekeeping team prepares the home before every stay, and each home is inspected afterward. Our team is here to make your stay smooth and enjoyable from arrival through departure. STARTER SET Complimentary with your stay, we provide a starter set that includes dish soap, a sponge, extra trash bags, hand soap, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENT NOTICE Our homes are located in natural mountain and forest environments. While we maintain regular professional pest control service, insects and spiders are a normal part of the outdoors and may occasionally be present. Deer and other wildlife frequently visit the area and may leave droppings in outdoor spaces between maintenance visits. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the beauty and wildlife that make McCall so special.
