Lost Colony Seahorse Villa

We needed a place to stay in the corpus area while we were down from Pine Island,TX visiting family and doing some fishing. Needed a place for our dogs, wanted a place close to the beach and possibly a pool, needed a big driveway to accommodate the boat. This place fit the bill to a tee!! Spacious house,nice appliances including a newer washer and dryer, dogs allowed with a yard, big driveway for the boat and within a 2 minute walk to the beach and pool! Other reviewers mentioned a bad smell we did not smell anything! Loved sitting on the top deck watching the shooting stars! Could hear the ocean and see it from the bedroom! Will definitely want to stay here again!

The home really has everything you need. Stocked kitchen and starter paper towels, toilet paper, etc. We cooked a lot and the only things missing were a cookie sheet, a measuring tablespoon and a blender (most important for the beach). Went in June and no stickers were close to the house, but we did see some further away from the house, we did not see any dead bugs, there were lots of huge mosquitoes outside so bring spray. Bring shoes for your dog bc the pavement walk to the boardwalk gets HOT. We also smelled a smell that everyone talks about but it’s mothballs, and you get used to it after about a couple of days. Overall, the home is great for sandy beach days and does the trick. It’s not new and fancy but had everything we needed, beds were comfy, a/c works great, great views, it’s an easy walk to the beach and the neighborhood is peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Took my daughter and her friends here for their senior trip. The unit served the purpose needed, but the unit was very run down compared to other units in the area. Pictures seem to be old as the unit looked fresh and clean. It needed a lot of TLC once we got there. Also unaware that the unit was two levels, and the only way to access the upstairs was to go outside to get to the main level. Also, there is a kitchen in the lower level, but no dishes available for use. Did not realize the beach was about a 10-minute walk from the house. Pictures made it seem that it was closer to the boardwalk. Agree with others that the smell was also rather unpleasant. I would stay here again though if they made some improvements.

Loved the deck. The constant sea breeze was great. Also loved the beach.

I regret to say that our experience was horrible due to how deceptive and deceitful the listing and pictures were for this property. The below apartment, which was converted from a garage, was uninhabitable due to strong insecticide odor and presence of dead bugs in rooms and alive bugs on bedding. The main area, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and living area, were unbelievably dirty: carpet stains, holes in walls, mold, spider webs, fruit flies dead on sliding doors tracks. ( ended up buying disposable plates/ utensils and disinfecting spray). Worst of all, the sliding door wasn’t locking and we weren’t informed of this. We discovered this unsafe situation, of which they were aware of, because we found a wooden dowel behind the fridge to wedge it shut- the dowel that was perfectly sized to fit the sliding door track. These conditions were not disclosed in the posting and created discomfort and safety concerns during our 2 night stay.

I loved the top balcony that oversees all surrounding properties. A clear view of the beach and sunrise to sunset 🥰 we also loved how friendly the neighbors and clean the villas were.
