Palm Bay 501

We love palm bay and book 1 week every year in July. We have stayed at many units here this Unit was great especially being able to walk right out to the pool. My only complaints are the dishwasher did not work and there was quite a few roaches. If these problems are fixed we would love to book this unit next year for our annual trip.

We love staying at Palm Bay and this condo is a great location. Very clean and well furnished.

When we arrived at our Vacasa rental around 4:30 PM, we were shocked to find the front door completely shattered. Broken glass was on the floor, and additional pieces continued to fall whenever the door was opened or closed. We were traveling with small children, making this an obvious safety concern. We immediately contacted Vacasa support and were told it was considered an emergency and that someone local would contact us right away. After hearing nothing, I reached out to the local representative myself. She informed me they were already aware the door was shattered before our arrival but "didn't think it was that big of a deal." I was stunned that guests were allowed to check in without being notified of a known safety issue. The only solution initially offered was moving us to another property. We had planned this trip over a month in advance and coordinated the weekend with about 20 family members and friends staying nearby, so relocating was not a reasonable option. Despite repeated requests, no one could come out that evening. Maintenance eventually arrived the next morning, removed the remaining glass, and taped up the door. We were told compensation would be discussed and that someone would follow up, but that never happened. I contacted Vacasa again after our stay and was told they would investigate and respond, but days later I still had not received any resolution. I've rented with Vacasa multiple times and have never experienced anything like this. What was most disappointing wasn't just the shattered door—it was that Vacasa knew about the damage before our arrival, failed to communicate it, failed to address it promptly, and failed to follow through afterward. We lost valuable vacation time dealing with an issue that should have been resolved before check-in.

We will be back. So close to beach and family friendly. Our family of 6 loved it!
