Ocean Front Escape at the San Luis

We love San Luis Resort. The condo we were in was both beautiful and well maintained. Everything was clean and the amenities were awesome.

I’m giving this condo 4 stars. The condo itself was nice, clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. There were a few minor wear-and-tear issues, but that’s to be expected in an older building and did not impact our stay. The biggest drawback for us was the laundry situation. This is the first condo we’ve stayed in that did not have an in-unit washer and dryer. The listing does mention that laundry facilities are available down the hall near the elevators, which is fine. However, what it doesn’t mention is that the machines require quarters. I believe this information should be included in the check-in or property information so guests can come prepared. We stayed for six nights with a family of six, and that’s a long time without access to laundry, fresh towels, or linens. The machines cost $3 per load, and I ended up doing two loads of laundry almost every day. If you’re staying for a short trip and bringing everything you need, this may not be an issue. For larger families or longer stays, it’s definitely something to consider. Another issue was the door lock. The keypad entry never worked during our stay, even after management attempted to reset it. As a result, we only had one working key for six people. Someone always had to be available to let others in and out, which became inconvenient. We considered having an extra key made ourselves just to make things easier. Overall, we enjoyed the condo, and the location was excellent. However, because of the laundry situation and the ongoing door lock issue, I would likely choose a different property for a future family vacation.

We unfortunately are on a cruise with limited ways to contact you but we found a pool band and will mail it once we get home.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the price per night. While this condo is more pricey than others we have enjoyed, it is a great place for a family vacation. 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch made it comfortable for 6 people. They had everything we needed in the kitchen and boogie boards for the kids. The tvs worked very well. We love it!

First the check in was so smooth and easy. Then we got into the condo, and to be honest we are picky about where we stay, but we were in no way disappointed. It was nice and clean, it smelled clean, it was absolutely Phenomenal. The beds were wonderful and it literally felt like home away from home. We go several times a year, and we have finally found a place that we thoroughly enjoyed. You may think it is pricey, but you will forget about that when you walk through the door. I highly recommend this condo everyone. Thank You to the owner, we will definitely be back.

Beautiful condo and extremely comfortable inside and out. Furniture seems of high quality and very nice. The resort is outstanding and always enjoy our stay in Galveston.
