Walk to the beach

Much smaller in person than it is in photos. The bunk beds in the hall would be fine for travelers with younger children, but wayyy to small length and width for our teenage girls. Luckily they had the pullout couch. Place is clean enough, it is an older building and the price was right for a quick getaway.

The property management company was very friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance, which I appreciated. However, I did experience several issues with the unit itself. The first thing I noticed was a strong smell of mold upon entering. There were also soft spots in the flooring, which led me to believe there may have been previous water damage that could be causing the mold smell. In the bathroom, the owners had left a note requesting that we not flush even toilet paper—a major issue that was not disclosed prior to renting. I contacted the office, and they assured me it was fine to flush, but the mixed messaging was frustrating. The mattresses used on the bunk beds were also a disappointment. They had a lot of tape on them, presumably to cover rips, and were extremely cheaply made. My 12-year-old twins couldn’t sleep comfortably on them as they offered little to no support. Parking was another challenge. It didn’t seem like parking permits were being enforced, as we often saw vehicles without tags occupying spots. This made it difficult for us to find parking near the unit, and on one occasion, we had to park on the complete opposite side of the complex. A more consistent and enforced parking system would make a big difference. While I wish I could give this unit a more positive review, I can’t based on these experiences. Unfortunately, we don’t plan to book with these owners again.
