White Cottage on the Lake

The lake and Summerside community was beautiful. The house was inside was very cute, but very small. Definitely not comfy for 5 people. And the patio was extreme cramped and tiny. Can barely sit at picnic table due to the area being so small. Large deck needed! Could not use the kayak and paddleboard they said were available because they were filthy and had smelly water throughout them and no hose to wash them off. It’s cure for a 2-4 people but probably would not return.

A tidy little house with beach access, close to town. Fast Wifi, great kids books and games, crisp cotton sheets, and practical furniture and decor made this house perfect for our family.

The property was very well kept and just like the photos! We truly loved the setup and accessibility...didn't want to leave! The people we spoke to in the neighboring properties were all very welcoming and friendly. Honestly, the description/photos don't properly explain how scenic the property is. It's super close to the lake - water views from inside the home...and the community beach/dock area is a short walk away...beautiful view! The only issues we had were that the air conditioner didn't seem to really work. It was blowing somewhat cool air but the temperature of the home never really got below 82-85 degrees. Also, I was looking forward to having access to a washer and dryer which were shown in the photos but were taped up with signs not to use. Perhaps I missed it, but I would make this clear in the listing that they are not for rental use. We hope to return in the future!
