Meredith Lakefront Lodge on Lake Winnipesaukee

Very roomy and ideal location. Great for large family vacation.

Location, well equipped , lots of space, beach toys, piano, ping pong

We were very unpleasantly surprised with our experience renting at the lake this summer. We’ve rented from a few different agencies for 32 years without any issues. This year we arrived at exactly 4 o’clock check-in and the cleaning crew was not finished until after 5 o’clock and we were sitting outside that entire time. When we finally got into the house we found animal traps in the main living areas. We made several phone calls to try to get resolution of these issues, with no real success. It seems that the customer service for Vacasa has been outsourced in some fashion. We were eventually told that someone had seen a squirrel a few weeks back and the traps had never been removed. That was patently untrue, as there were squirrels running through the house while we were there, leaving nuts everywhere, and chewing through books and leaving “evidence” behind. We were traveling with two small children, and it was just unacceptable to have animal traps in the middle of the living areas and squirrel excrement all through the house. We should have been forewarned and offered options before our arrival. We even went to the Vacasa office space in Meredith only to find that it was simply a front that was never used. I’m not sure there was ever anyone local speaking to us in the many hours of phone calls we had to make. I would absolutely not recommend using Vacasa for a rental.

Last year we rented this property and gave it high marks. This year with traps set inside the house and realizing after a few days there were squirrels inside the house we called Vasca who asked for pictures, which I attached to an email they sent me, and they said someone local would contact me about this problem- I was never contacted. Then the bats started arriving and I sent a picture of the bat - I do have a video but WiFi was not strong enough to attach. Once again no one addressed this problem - that being said I would never rent this property again and will avoid Vasca management properties.

Great place for our family gathering. Ample space for our adult children. Ping pong table was fun along with boating and swimming. The large screened porch views are beautiful. (Only thing missing out there was a table that could be used for eating and games) We all want to return next year! Thank you!!

The space was perfect for 3 generations to enjoy a week on the lake. Plenty of space and the wide screened in porch overlooking the lake was a bonus, where we spent a lot of time. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!
