The room was clean as were all of the utensils. The grounds were fabulous and the waterfront was great swimming. While we were there there were many flowers blooming. Some items were lacking but overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay again.
It’s location
Location is great. View and access to the lake are great.
I love how quaint and quiet it is there. Having coffee on the deck watching the boats go by in the morning. The rooms are really simple but yet serves the purpose. Clean rooms upon arrival with plenty of towels along towel for the “water”.
I just want to start by saying I am not one to usually complain and have never left a bad review in my life but I want to be honest and help others before they meet the same fate as we did this needs to be addressed! 1.The first thing we noticed as we opened the door is the musty smell that smacks you in the face it smells like a wet basement! 2.Sort of a side note but I rented the property it was posted as $130 which seemed very reasonable but when I went to checkout it was over double at $270! I said ok ok it is right on the lake so I'll take a shot but what a bait and switch post prices what they actually are after all the BS!!! 3.The next thing is very gross beware...so I went in the bathroom to pee and as I am doing so I look down and see something in between the toilet and the tub as I finished up and looked closer I noticed it was a piece of poop! It looks like either the last people there or the maid plunged the toilet with feces in it and it stuck to the plunger then they never cleaned the plunger and then it fell in between that spot because there was still some of it on the plunger also!!! I really wished I had taken a picture but my girlfriend was so grossed out that she immediately poured ajax on it grabbed a paper towel with a Ziploc bag and threw it away as she was gagging can't make this stuff up!!! 4.The bed was like sleeping on bare springs I literally didn't get to sleep until 3am because it was so uncomfortable and hard that my whole body felt very sore in the morning 5.The air conditioner that they claim to have is broken! It was not super hot outside but inside the room was 78° according to the air conditioner that would go on for a minute at a time then turn off and read "Error 1". I mostly use A/C when I'm going to sleep which added to my restless sleep 6.There was sugar ants all over the counter near the microwave that were trying to get in our luckily sealed food 7.My Girlfriend went to shower and had 0 hot water she had to stop showering and finish her hair under the tub spout because it was so cold 8.The refrigerator must have been bought in the 1960's the retro look of the room didn't really bother me until we used the fridge. When we got there (around 2pm) I had opened it and realized it was warm inside so I cranked it up all the way to it's highest setting but 12hrs later I went to get a drink of water and it was barely cool plus we had bought milk for the morning which we just poured out because it was still warm when we awoke I know this seems like a harsh review but it is all truth and I needed to to let anyone thinking of staying here what they are in for. There were a couple nice things to mention like how there was plenty of towels and extra pillows in the closet and how they provided paper towels trash bags etc. And the lake is beautiful but overall I was supremely let down
Loved everything, especially the price for such a perfect stay.
