Silver King

This was the quietest most peaceful VRBO we have ever stayed in. The large double lot, quiet neighbor and forest preserve gave us a feeling of space and privacy. Prettiest part of Lake Whatcom. It felt like Norway. We hiked, paddle boaded, biked and explored the woods all in the adjoining park. The property has a lovely cove beach. Quite protected for kids.Our grandson played soccer for hours in the spacious lawn. We had family dinners on the porch and at the long table in the great room. Cozy, spacious, comfortable house and great waterfront. We would love to come back!!

The location and house are great. However, we arrived at dinner time to find the beds in the bunk room wet. All sheets had been put on the 4 beds wet. Vacasa suggested we look for replacement sheets, which were also folded and put away wet. So we spent 3 hours pulling the beds apart, drying sheets and comforters and remaking beds. Response from Vacasa was, "Very sorry about that". I'm not sure what cleaner thought wet sheets on beds was acceptable and very disappointed that Vacasa offered nothing to make it right.

This place was great. The place was clean and cozy. The host was quick to respond to our questions. If you are looking for a quiet retreat this is the place. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of space. The large table was great for game night-big enough for a crafting party. The deck looking onto the lake was fabulous. I am limited in my walking ability and the ramp into the home was great. The railing was sturdy and safe. The only problem for me was inside the floors were a little slick, but I had some grippy socks that worked just fine. Would come back!

A beautiful property with comfortable accommodations. Everything was clean, we didn't want for anything. There were kitchen supplies, appliances, marshmallow roasting sticks for the fire pit, extra blankets, anything you could think of. The view was incredible and the property was quiet and peaceful.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Silver King. The cabin’s location was quiet and peaceful in winter. The home was well stocked and so comfortable. The managers were responsive and helpful. We also enjoyed learning a bit about the history of Lake Whatcom and the family owners of the cabin. We hope to come back!
