Convenient for visiting family

Clean throughout. Kitchen provided all we needed. Great location whether staying local to Tacoma, and easy drive to SeaTac and public transit into Seattle. Close to restaurants on 6th avenue

The home itself is charming and decorated very well. We had everything we needed as far as amenities. Once inside we felt very comfortable and safe. It was hot while we were there but the air conditioner worked wonderful keeping us cool. However, I do have a few things that future renters should be aware of. The home is located behind the owners home and beside a neighbor's property. The driveway is narrow and parking area is small. I did not like having to park between the owner’s house and garage. I have an SUV, and if the neighbors are both home and the owner’s vehicle is parked next to mine, it is nearly impossible for me to back out. It is very tight. It was a strange set-up for a vacation rental. The code we were given to enter the home didn't work after multiple attempts, following the directions exactly. I called Vacasa and was on hold for several minutes. After hanging up and calling again, I was finally able to get a person. After she had me try several more times in her words, "at a consistent rate, not too slow and not too fast," and it still was not working, I was finally given access to the lockbox with a key. This was very stressful, especially since we had just arrived after a very long drive. Upon walking in, I began to inspect the property as I always do with any rental I visit. The carpet under the Murphy bed is terrible. I can’t tell if it’s dirty or just stained, but it is a light color with dark, dirty spots all over it. Then, as I inspected the bed, I noticed the mattress cover was covered in hair and specks of dirt. In the closet was a man’s shirt that was left, I’m assuming, by a previous guest. The queen bed is comfortable, however, the sofa bed is very uncomfortable. I was traveling with my two grown daughters, and I planned to sleep on the queen-size sofa bed. When I transformed it into the bed form, it was awful. You feel every transition between the cushions. It was hard in some spots and soft in others. I also tried to put the fitted sheet that was provided for the sofa bed on it; however, it didn’t fit. It was too small. I ended up just leaving it as the couch and just putting a top sheet on it and sleeping that way. Less than ideal and very frustrating. Overall, it was a cute home and was comfortable for the most part. Just some issues to be aware of.

The home was so cute & cozy! We loved that it felt private even though it’s directly behind a home & the garden definitely made it feel like we were in our own space! We had a concert which led to our stay & loved the property! We had an issue with the keypad on the door & the company (Vacasa) that the property owner uses was not good about troubleshooting the issue for us. We used the texting service which wasn’t very helpful & when we contacted someone via phone they weren’t clear on instructions which was stressful & inconvenient. We did receive a phone call from the property owner after the fact & we loved that she followed up with us. It made up for the lack of help with Vacasa. All in all, we loved our stay & would definitely recommend staying here & would love to stay here again if we are ever in the area again!
