We loved that it had a communal kitchen are but felt very private - the room was very comfortable and it is in the perfect location.

We stayed in Suite 2 for the weekend. Family of 4, parents and 2 teens. This is a perfect spot. Easy access on Washington Street. Cute shared kitchen area with popcorn and little treats. The apartment was huge. Comfy beds and furnishings. We appreciated the living room space with the table and fridge. There’s even a freezer for take home ice cream! Perfect for playing games. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and tidy for us. Thanks for making the weekend great.

The unit itself was perfectly fine. Clean and in a great location. The issue I had was the promise of a "local host" with absolutely no ability to reach someone local. We took public transit to Port Townsend, and our travel times to and from town did not line up with check in and check out times. At most hotels, there is an option to check-in/out early or late or at least an option to store your bags somewhere while you can't be in the room. Late checkout was advertised as an option, but when I inquired through the email address on the website, I was routed to a vacation rental management company (Vacasa) in a different state. The person I emailed to said it was not an option. I then called the number and asked again. That person contacted the local host and then told me to find housekeeping in the halls during my stay and ask them to store our bags in the closet after checkout. (Spoiler alert: We never saw housekeeping.) Meanwhile, Vacasa was sending me emails advertising that the room was available for another night if I wanted to reserve it. In general, it's not great to have no human available to ask a question or request help from. This is especially annoying when there is a photo/bio of a "local host" on the hotel website.
