We stayed at this house with our dog for a couple days getaway. The area was super quiet. Short walking distance to the boat harbor, docks and downtown. Had a nice and relaxing visit. Would stay again.
Quiet convient
The house was very comfortable and the location to the docks was great. Loved the fenced yard and the firepit. We would rent this home again. Check out is a little early though.
Everything was excellent! Very close to town and shops and especially great being all fenced in for the dog!
there are Several great and positive aspects about this property, and a HUGE negative. First, let's start with the positives. The house is just adorable. Very clean, you walk in, and it feels like home. Very nice kitchen with almost everything you need already included. (food is not included) But everything else your home kitchen has; they have ready for you. The living room is very inviting and comfortable. Games, Movies, and TV if you need to unwind after a day at the beach. The bedroom is perfect, so cute. Then you walk out back, and they have even more ready for you. Behind the house there is a large table to have meals at or play some games outside. (Not the property's fault. But if you are expecting the smell of a nice ocean breeze...nope smells like fish and shellfish. IT IS A FISHING TOWN) along the other side of the house is an incredible firepit for the nights where there is a breeze, but it is too warm to be inside. You are about 8 mins drive to get to the beach. and walking to great food and shops. NOW to the NEGATIVES. We had two of the worse night sleeps we have had at a vacation rental. The bed is an exceptionally low to ground IKEA style bed. And the “mattress” reminds me more of a Japanese style shikibuton floor mattress. I felt every wood slat Ikea uses for support. Neither my wife nor I slept that night. The next night we thought we would use the fold out couch bed. Again, due to where the couch splits, it was hitting me right in the ribs. Also, there is no real air flow other than the box fan they provide. You need to either keep the front and back doors open for a nice cross breeze. The window about the couch had a huge tear in the screen so bugs were getting in so I had to keep that closed. Granted, we are an older couple 50 years old, but a vacation with no sleep for two nights puts a damper on the weekend.
