4BR dog-friendly retreat with hot tub & deck views

The cabin itself was beautiful, and we could tell a lot of care went into the decor and setting. Unfortunately, a few issues affected our stay enough that we wanted to flag them for future guests and the host. The biggest problem was the temperature. When we checked in around 4:30pm, the house was in the low 80s, and even after turning the A/C on right away, the bedrooms hadn't cooled down by 9:30pm. This was especially hard on our group since we had an infant and a young toddler with us — four members of our party ended up having to leave and head home right away because the kids simply couldn't sleep in that heat. We also ran into a couple of safety concerns around the property. There are thorny bushes growing right along the walkways, particularly near the stairs, which made it easy to get scratched while moving around. More seriously, a heavy iron wall decoration was mounted with what felt like weak velcro — it came loose and started to fall toward our child, and my wife reached in to catch it and stop it from hitting our kid. She ended up with a cut that broke skin in the process. Given how heavy that piece was, it could have caused a much more serious injury to our child if she hadn't caught it in time. We'd love to give this place another try if the A/C and these safety issues get properly addressed, since the location and overall charm of the cabin were genuinely lovely.

Enjoyed the upstairs TV room to watch the Seahawks. Dogs enjoyed the outside deck. Would have like a King bed in the Master. All in all a good stay.

The only thing that was nice was the hottub seemed clean.

Kids had plenty of room and we had lots of games and movie nights which were nice during the rainy weather.

If you know the area the access from this location is pretty awesome. And the house is bright and well appointed, nice kitchen. We used it as a base for fishing and hanging with friends. Will echo another review, honestly the only down side is the pillows are terrible and there’s only a small French press for coffee, I’d bring my own of both of those if I did it over.

The property is lovely. The views are amazing, the furniture and beds very comfortable. We had 3 generations staying there, and it served us well. VACASA was having some challenges with housekeeping during the holiday rush, but they did a good job of keeping us informed. There were some items we provided the property manager in the feedback section which, when addressed, will make future stays even better.
