Ferry the short distance to Jacobs Point Park, just two miles away, offering hiking trails, and wildlife viewing of orcas, seals, and eagles. A short walk from your home, you can kayak, swim, or fish for trout at Josephine Lake. The Riviera Community Club is also within walking distance and has a beautiful golf course and a clubhouse with dining options. Things to know:

Please be aware that the driveway is quite steep. Please do not take a running start or accelerate aggressively when approaching it. The best approach is to take it slowly and accelerate gradually all the way to the top. Aggressive driving can damage the driveway. We have been to the island many times to visit family but this was the first time renting a house. There were two adults and 3 teenagers. The space was perfect for all of us. Plenty to do for the kids and space to relax for the adults. The house was clean and well decorated. The driveway is steep but once you get up to the house it levels out. The walk to the lake is short, but it is down hill so carrying the kayaks back up was a bit of a challenge. Overall, a great space and we plan on going back next summer.

Very peaceful. Had deer in the back yard. Would be a great place for a larger family or small group of people. Close walk to the lake and Rivera restaurant. Didn't have paddles for the kayaks which was bummer.

The home was clean and spacious with quick access to the lake. Although this home doesn't have its own dock on the lake, there is access across the street down a short trail. The deck is a great size and an amazing place to enjoy the property. I will definitely consider booking this property again!
