The Island Quarters

We stayed at the Island Quarters for a weekend getaway, and were very tempted to stay on for the rest of the week! Everything was easy and comfortable. The house is pristine and the location is fantastic. It's a short walk to the ferry and the shops and restaurants on Winslow, and you can take a magical trail through the woods and along the beach at Hawley Cove to get there. Even with the ferry nearby, the setting is completely quiet and peaceful. We woke up to chirping birds, and in one of the most comfortable beds we ever slept in. The house is larger than we expected, with high vaulted ceilings, a full modern kitchen with a long bar/table that you could easily put a whole family around, and a spacious bathroom with excellent shower. The whole place has a relaxing, open feel, tastefully furnished without overdoing it, nautical touches here and there, super clean and convenient. We definitely recommend and definitely would go back for a longer stay!

I enjoyed my stay in this high quality small house and recommend it. The neighborhood was very safe and walkable to a beach at the end of the street. The kitchen was great, and had a good work space. The description says it's for 4 people but only if 2 want to climb a steep ladder to the loft with a very low ceiling. There's a very comfy queen bed downstairs. It's about 1.3 miles from town so I'd suggest a car. Unfortunately it's not dog friendly, and the water heater in the bathroom is noisy after a hot shower/bath.

The Island Quarters was one of the nicest, most well appointed houses I have stayed in and there have been many. It was super clean on arrival and everything had its place, not like a lot of overly cluttered spaces. The bed was so comfortable, firm but plush, it made me want a new bed.... I can't wait to come back when it is a little warmer outside. Cheers

Very clean, modern guest house with all the necessities. The location is walkable to downtown shops and the ferry, the kitchen is well equipped, and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful.

We loved staying here! The house feels bigger and more elegant in person than in the pics. The kitchen is wonderful and well equipped. The beds and bathroom and living room were great too. Good light too. The ceilings are soaring and the decor is lovely. There was a fun nautical feel mixed into an elegant modern space, and a lovely patio with some comfortable chairs. The neighborhood was nice for walking around and not far from downtown. There is good parking. The hosts (in the main house) were warm and gracious while also protecting our privacy. They pointed us to a nearby woodsy walking trail down to a lovely beach where you can watch the ferries go by. Also, I am generally allergic to most homes and found this space to be completely pristine and non allergenic and not too fragrancy. I cannot recommend this rental enough. I would have happily stayed much longer. We hung out mostly downstairs but the loft also has good headroom and a sturdy comfortable ladder and a little cozy place to sit by a window, along with a bed.
