Location was great - right on the river, very quiet and cozy. Lots of recreation close by. Slept comfortably and the kitchen was well appointed. A few drawbacks - mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and bedroom drawers (we did not see/hear any active mice though) but I know that's not uncommon with rural living. There was no remote that worked with the DVD player. And I agree with other reviews that the loft railings have too many gaps to safely stay with small children. Overall we were happy, but for some people these things could be deal breakers so I think it's important to make known. A good value and we would stay again.
Great view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place is very comfortable and waking up to these views of the river and mountains was refreshing.
My husband and I loved everything about this cabin. There are so many great hiking spots within 20 minutes or so. The view from the cabin is spectacular. On our last morning, we saw a bald eagle right by the river. The only downside is the bed is a little uncomfortable and pretty noisy. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever make it back out to Washington. :)
You can't beat the window views out of this cabin! It was the perfect 2 night getaway for us to spend on the river with our family.
This location is absolutely beautiful. The property has been well maintained over the years, inside and out. The bathroom surfaces were smooth, so they were easy to keep clean.. no grout to catch germs and water. Shower was clean and water pressure was good. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils for our usage, but we didn't really cook that much. Coffee maker worked and was clean. The towels and linens had a bit of a dog smell to them, but it wasn't more than what could be expected from a dog friendly cabin in the woods. If thats a thing that would bother you, it's absolutely worth packing extra linens and towels from home. The cabin was comfortable and cleaner than we expected. The location was easy to get to and seemed more secluded than it was. There were people in the neighboring cabin, but the trees and the river sounds provided enough privacy. I can't say enough good things about how beautiful this location is. It was an absolutely perfect getaway for my mom and me. Oh and we saw a bear! But we had been forewarned by the kind cleaning professional (who did an excellent job btw), so we were on alert. If you want to get away from the city and from the hustle and bustle and escape to the woods and the river for some tranquility, this little rustic place is fantastic.
