Twin Lakes Tranquility

Great location and clean house. The water access was a lot of fun and we spent most of our time paddle boarding.

The house was perfect for our visit. It was clean and quiet. The kids loved the basketball game. Only thing it was missing was a wine bottle opener and some pods for the coffee machine. We also couldn't figure out the front door lock. Would love to stay again in warm weather so we could enjoy the lake but this trip was for snow and it was beautiful!

The location of this lakeside home is beautiful, with stunning views of the lake and a nice outdoor seating area with a BBQ and gas fire stove right by the sliding door, perfect for relaxing in theory. The house itself has great potential and felt spacious for our group over New Year's. However, you could tell this is a relatively newer rental for Vacasa, as it lacked many basic touches that more established properties usually have. Several issues made our stay disappointing and less enjoyable than expected. The outdoor patio area was completely covered in snow and had not been cleared or swept off at all. We had to shovel and clear it ourselves in order to use the seating and gas fire stove. (Note that the driveway and walkway to the front door were cleared, so it was surprising the guest patio area was overlooked.) Other small but noticeable omissions: no rug by the sliding door to the lakeview patio (the floor gets cold, wet, and slippery coming in from outside), no step stool in the kitchen (essential for shorter guests, I couldn't safely reach items in the microwave), no wine opener, limited throw blankets, and no guest-friendly extras like a pen and notepad, puzzles, games, or books for downtime. As we ended up with lots of downtime due to no internet. The bathroom shower floor sounded very creaky and unstable, like it might give way, which made showering unsettling. The door locking instructions provided were inaccurate, causing confusion upon leaving. Most frustrating was the internet: it didn't work at all during our entire stay. We contacted Vacasa immediately upon arrival, sent messages and photos of the issue. The only response was that they'd notify someone local, but we never heard back, no one came to fix it, and there was no follow-up. Without internet, we had no TV access, and screencasting from phones wasn't possible due to PIN locks on all the TV apps. This was especially disappointing on New Year's Eve, as we couldn't watch the ball drop at midnight. I'm also disappointed that Vacasa was not more helpful with this major issue and worry that their lack of resolution (and communication) could potentially hinder guests from leaving fully honest reviews. Additionally, future guests should be clearly warned in the listing that the driveway and road require a 4-wheel-drive vehicle in winter conditions. It's steep and can be icy. Overall, the property has a lot of charm and a fantastic setting, but better preparation (clearing guest outdoor areas, stocking basic essentials), accurate information, and more responsive support from Vacasa would make a big difference, especially for a newer listing. We hope these suggestions help improve the experience for future visitors!

The experience at this house was horrible. The house itself was clean and seemed fine when we first arrived, but shortly after we arrived we noticed the smoke detector beeping. There was this very loud high pitched beep approximately every 30 seconds and we couldn't figure out how to stop, so we called vacasa support. We tried everything, even replacing the battery. Nothing worked. We called at 7pm on day 1 and Vacasa said they notified local teams and they would get in touch with us. They never did. We texted vacasa later that night, and the next day they said they notified local teams who would get in touch with us, they never did. We continued to text Vacasa as this incessant beeping was really impacting our stay and honestly nearly driving us crazy. Vacasa then told us that they fixed the smoke detector already, but no one came to fix it, and the beeping continued for our entire stay. No one came out despite phone calls and numerous texts. The customer support was absolutely horrible. The only time they would text us back was around 4am. This was the worst vacation home stay we ever had. The constant beeping made it hard to sleep, it was down right maddening, and Vacasa refused to do anything about it. You should also just know that if visiting in the winter you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle and you will need to bring your own snow shovel because the house does not provide one.
