The property was beautiful!! But the customer service was AWFULL!!! GAVE WRONG CODE TO GET INTO PROPERTY AND WERE LOCKED OUT FOR AN HOUR IN THE COLD. 7 different phone conversations before we were let in. Several of those conversations I was hung up on. Dirty laundry left in both washers. I will not use a vacasa property again.
We use home rentals about 10-12 times per year for our family of five. Of course all rentals are not without their issues, but for us it is important how the issues are remedied. Upon entering the property we noticed that the inside was filthy - dog hair everywhere, dirt and stains on the bed sheets, bug poison traps throughout the house within reach of my young children, food crumbs and full pieces of food in the furniture and throughout the floor corners of the house. As we began to settle our kids in their rooms, we noticed that two bed rooms facing the west had no window coverings. The sky doesn't go dark until 10pm and then after that, the shipyards in the bay have commercial flood lights on all night long. We initiated a text to the management team about our concerns and it took many hours to receive a response. The woman was rude and aggressive, demanded proof of the cleanliness at 10pm when our kids were already asleep and we had a long travel. The next morning we contact her again to let her know that nobody slept the night and the home was not comfortable for living for the four days of our stay. She offered to relocate us and we agreed, but ultimately was unable to so. Rather than attempting to offer a remedy to the window covering issue or a reasonable remedy to the cleanliness issue she claimed the window covering issue was disclosed in the listing by way of photo and a customer complaint in the reviews. This is clearly an excuse and not an actual disclosure of something so severely disruptive to the quality of sleep for the nights we are paying for as guests. The home is in disrepair, light fixtures not surely fastened to the ceiling, handles and bath plugs that fall apart when used, outdated washing machine that did not operate properly. There are two tiny bar sized refrigerators and college dorm sized freezer, none that cool properly or support a family size that would stay at such a large home. In the end, our family didn't sleep well and were covered in various types of dog hair. The customer service was poor and unfriendly. I would not recommend this property until significant changes are made to cleaning services, property improvements are completed and management service changes.
There aren’t a lot of spots in the world where you can look over the water at a Navy shipyard and then look up and see snow capped mountains. This place had a great view and the Star Spangled Banner playing at 8a every day is a treat. And you’re 20 minutes to the Bremerton ferry if you want to go to Seattle. The house has a sunken family room and a large 10 person dining table. If you have kids that like to climb and aren’t quite that sturdy on their feet yet, you’ll need to be on high alert. And the fridges are under the counter, so they can get into them easily.
