Heron Reach is described as a beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished home that feels warm, cozy, and ideal for relaxing family getaways. Guests consistently praised the comfortable beds, inviting living spaces, open layout, and well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, along with many thoughtful touches that made the home feel especially welcoming. The property was repeatedly noted as spotless, impeccably organized, and very well maintained throughout. Guests also appreciated the peaceful waterfront setting, easy beach access, and convenient location for enjoying the surrounding area. The views of the water, tides, and wildlife were a standout highlight, especially from the large windows and deck. Guests enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, deck, barbecue area, games, and other well-prepared extras that added to the overall experience.

Overview

Even porpoises and orcas visit this area. Different wildlife return to Rocky Bay with each six-hour tidal change. Access to the beach is by way of a trail. This 1,700 sq. ft. single-level home is well furnished and offers three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, including a large family room with comfortable furniture, air-conditioning, a large TV and stereo, WiFi, and plenty of entertainment options including indoor and outdoor games. A spacious kitchen is well equipped with many numerous appliances and a gas stovetop that will make cooking a breeze. A high chair and a Pack 'n Play are provided for the little ones. Through the sliding glass door, enjoy two decks, a large propane grill, and convenient outdoor dining while overlooking the ambiance of Rocky Bay. Beachcombing boots and water socks of various sizes are provided and await your exploration of sandy beaches at low tide. Heron Reach on Rocky Bay offers a beautiful place for kayaking, bird watching, miles of beachcombing, and boating around the Puget Sound, with other recreational activities. Kayaks are included for guests use to explore the saltwater nature up close. A dock is available should you choose to arrive by boat. Less than 16 miles away, the charming city of Gig Harbor hosts waterfront shops, cafés and restaurants. Seattle is a simple drive or an easy ferry ride away. The Olympic mountain range and Hood Canal are nearby or take a beautiful drive to the iconic Mt. Rainier. Truly, everyone will have an amazing time here! THINGS TO KNOW

We loved our stay at Heron Reach! It is a beautiful, large, very comfortable home with a wonderful deck and waterfront views. Everything was very clean. We loved using the kayaks. It was fun to meet the very kind owner - he stopped by to check that we had everything we needed, and offered good advice to make our weekend even better.

We had a wonderful stay at Heron Reach. The home was clean, spacious, and comfortable for two families with children. We especially loved the peaceful waterfront setting, kayaking, fishing, BBQs, and relaxing outdoors. It was also a convenient base for exploring Gig Harbor and Olympic National Park. We would happily stay here again!

This home was tastefully appointed, down to the fluffy towels and super soft linen. It was spotless, including the picture window out to the water which made for wonderful bird watching. It was serene and quiet - a perfect place for our stay.

Loved this home. It’s cozy, warm, inviting, and overall peaceful. I love the openness of the kitchen, dining, and living area, definitely perfect if you have kids. Watching the tide come in and out was great. Walking the beach area at low tide was fun, especially for the kids. The owner is very kind and helpful for suggestions of stores nearby, restaurants, sites to see, and trails to hike. Overall a wonderful experience we will book again.
