Go horseback riding or feel some serious horsepower dirt biking and ATVing on nearby trails. Come winter, snowshoe right out the front door and make snow angels in the yard, or venture out for cross-country skiing at Cabin Creek, tubing, downhill skiing or snowboarding at one of Snoqualmie’s 4 ski resorts, ice skating at Suncadia’s outdoor rink, or arrange a holiday sleigh ride. Snowmobile rentals and tours are available nearby at the Last Resort on Lake Cle Elum. Visit the historic coal mining town of Roslyn where the hit TV series Northern Exposure was filmed (and parts of the set are still up today). Stroll the Sunday Farmer’s market in Roslyn from June till September. Grab a beer and a show at the famous Brick Tavern (Washington’s oldest continually operating saloon). Find a good read at Basecamp Books & Café, get a pint at Roslyn Brewing, and grab a bite at Village Pizza or Roslyn Mexican Grill. See a flick at the historic Roslyn Theater.
