Like stepping back in time. Grand space, quiet, and warm on a cold day. Just know to park a few blocks away in the 24 hour spots.

This was a great spot which would have easily gotten 5 stars but there were a few dings that dropped it a notch. The whole place was spotless without as much as a corner or dust anywhere. Linens and blankets were clean and cozy though the bed could use more than two pillows. The large ceiling fan overhead was wonderful as were the windows which could be opened to let in the cool salty air. The room itself is beautiful with the old brick wall an was spacious and the wifi was fast. On the could be improved area, it would have been nice to have two bottled waters in a town that had your typical shore town tap water. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I never had a bad back in the morning so not overly soft. It is memory foam so you kind of sink in. The stairs up to the room area and getting in/out of your room was difficult to do quietly as everything is old and squeaks and cracks. The door access to the rooms made noise on entry and you could hear other guests coming in/out so I know they heard us. The other negative is the parking is weird in PT. There is either 2 hour (free) parking or 15min parking everywhere but it does not appear you can park there overnight. A free trolley will take you to a free overnight parking area about 1.5 miles away but that was a pain. I learned there are a few roads a bit removed from town where you can park safely and also for free overnight. Other than that, we failed to find a spot in PT that would offer much different and this location is about as good as it gets.

Very tall elegant historic room. Lovingly cared-for. No TV was a surprise initially but it allowed to finish reading a great book I bought at the bookstore a block away. Wonderful coffee shop downstairs with great views of the water.
