The home is well situated, only a short drive from the picturesque town of Hoodsport on the Hood Canal as well as Olympic National Park with miles of hiking possibilities. The home is a short walk from division 1 lake cushman park which has picnic areas, sand volleyball court, a play structure, swings and a large dock and swim area. There is a community boat launch a short drive down the road which is available for those with boating plans. Down by the lake you’ll find a new bench and picnic table for private lakeside dining and savoring the views. Right next to this is a new kayak rack holding 2 adult and 2 kid kayaks, as well as a stand up paddle board. Both are just a few steps away from the lake which makes getting in the water easy. Life jackets are available to borrow and located in the king bedroom closet, right next to a new corn hole set that’s also available for you to set up and play. Indulge in the convenience of modern amenities, including high speed internet access, smart TV with streaming options, gas BBQ and fire table for outdoor gatherings. We just finished an amazing family weekend and this house was the perfect setting! It has all the amenities you could ask for plus a gorgeous location/view. We definitely will be returning!

This was a really lovely retreat from the city. The home is spacious with several sitting areas both indoors and out, very comfy beds, and a super well-appointed kitchen with absolutely everything we needed to cook several meals there. Just steps down to private lake access and they have amenities for water activities down there (kayaks, floats etc). The owners really have thought of everything. The water in the lake was warmer than I expected and quite comfortable for a swim! We were there near the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, and the dark skies are phenomenal for stargazing. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great spot on the lake! The included kayaks, and SUP are what initially sold us and the lake is ideally suited for it. Lots to explore in the surrounding areas. Comfortable beds, plenty of board games, old school video games, well equipped kitchen, different spaces to spread out. Squirrels come to the deck to say hi.

Good house, good location. We enjoyed The kayaks. Only thing I would say about this house is that for it being a non-pet home it had a strong dog smell for people who are sensitive to that. Also the walk down to the beach means traversing a pretty steep sets of stairs, so anybody with physical challenges may not be able to enjoy the beachfront.

This vacation home is beautiful, has a ton of incredible amenities and is a gorgeous location. Unfortunately this was ruined for our trip and we were unable to enjoy the amenities of the lake or fire pit due to local restrictions in place because of the Bear Gulch Fire. The AQI was over 250 for the majority of our trip, forcing us to stay inside or leave the home entirely. If not for the fire, this place would be absolutely perfect and we would love to stay again once the fire is gone, but as of Aug 2025, it is only 3% contained and I would recommend not booking dates for this place until the fire is gone
