This is the second time I've visited that island, different housing, and the location of this last place was wonderful, very relaxing, surrounded by large trees and a wonderful coast, Del Mar, I would definitely go again.
This is a cute little cabin in the gated community of Harstine Pointe. The cabin itself and the community are nice, with access to a nice beach within walking distance. The cabin could use a dishwasher and more comfortable couches but was workable for our little family. Getting in to Harstine Pointe after hours (like 8 pm) was a huge fiasco though. Harstine Pointe is so rigid with their systems that we almost drove back home that first night because we couldn’t get into Harstine Pointe. Luckily, we finally got in touch with Vacasa and a rep who does not even service that area (Leslie) jumped through many hoops and got us through the gate. She was very kind and helpful and even offered us a little discount for our time. I highly recommend booking through Vacasa! Harstine Pointe, however, is a little difficult.
My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and his birthday weekend. It was a great house! They had everything we needed and the property was very peaceful!
Easy communication, good check in, lots of rules and a little far out there. Beach was close by
Very cute and peaceful neighborhood. It was great to have a place we could bring our dogs and the walk to the beach is short. It should be noted there is no A/C. It was in the 80s and 90s while we were there which made sleeping very uncomfortable, we ended up leaving a day early as a result. Very basic amenities, no dishwasher or even a hairdryer. In my past visits to places like this there is usually a basic setup similar to a hotel, but this was more like camping-if you think you might need it, bring it. Including extra TP. There are no stores nearby if you forget something.
Spacious home, with a nice patio and great facilities. Our daughter loved the beach, swimming pool and children’s books at the house.
