Overview
Start your day on the large deck, cup of steaming coffee in hand. Back inside it’s breakfast time. The main floor features an open plan, so the chef won’t feel left out while the rest of the group gathers. The well-equipped, updated kitchen features a full suite of appliances, granite countertops, and plenty of counter space to prep those pancakes. And little helpers can perch at the window-front barstools to help – or just taste test. When it's time to eat, the adjacent dining area seats eight. After breakfast, it’s time to explore the Washington coast. You’re just one mile south of Griffiths-Priday State Park and beaches, a golf course, and trails are all nearby as well. First things first when you return: get that wood-burning fireplace crackling for maximum coziness. Stream your favorite shows on the flatscreen, pop in a DVD, or listen to music on the stereo. When it's time to turn in, you've got four bedrooms to choose from. The main level features a king-sized bed and that lovely view. Downstairs, you'll find the remaining three bedrooms, one with a king and a twin; one with a king and a twin with a twin trundle; and finally one with a queen-sized bed. Before bed, step back outside onto the deck and admire the stars rising over the water before you drift off to sleep. This beachfront home now features a newly furnished game room, perfect for family fun and rainy-day entertainment. Guests can enjoy: • Tournament-quality ping pong table with 4 paddles and 6+ balls • Electronic dart board with 6 darts and replacement tips • Cozy new furnishings, including a couch, coffee table, two swivel chairs, and a stylish area rug • A 50” TV • Two white accordion-style window shades for comfort and privacy Whether you’re unwinding after a day at the beach or looking for an activity-filled night in, this upgraded game space is designed to make your stay even more enjoyable. A place to be as active or as serene as you wish! You can meander or run the beautiful endless sands, fly a kite, or just listen to the roar of the Ocean. Inside the ample home, putting together amazing meals with a lovely glass or two of wine, playing games, talking for hours reconnecting with family or heading out to explore the activities that Ocean Shores has to offer. Sharing the awe of a setting sun was a wonderful way to end the day. Our family came together from all corners of the US and did all of the above, plus much more!
It is bigger than it looks in the pictures. We had 4 couples plus a few kids. Every group had their own rooms. So sleeping and privacy was great. Three rooms downstairs, one upstairs. There was enough room around the table when we added lawn chairs. The living room could use a few extra chairs. The kitchen was big enough for 4-5 people to work in it. Two refrigerators was extra special. Pots and pans are numerous. No storage containers or plastic wrap, foil etc. so bring that. Bring extra paper towels and garbage bags if you have a big group. Bring your own pillows unless you like soft fluffy ones. Some people said their bed was too soft. The upstairs king was good. Be forewarned the water has an iron odor. Bring a water filtration pitcher or plenty of bottled water. The trail to the bridge that crosses the creek is not easily accessible and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with balance issues or who can’t walk 15 minutes through narrow trails and sand. The bridge to the right (North) is much better than the bridge to the left (South). Drive to the beach if you’re not up for a hike. One nice thing is the beach in front of the house isn’t supposed to have vehicles. It is a Snowy Plover (endangered species) refuge. We did have some trucks zoom by however. We didn’t use the gas BBQ grill. I was told it had a bad smell coming from it. I did not investigate. Overall I would recommend house!
We had a ladies weekend. Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for beautiful quiet place to rejuvenate your soul.
I love the layout of this home. The view was spectacular, had a real 70s vibe. Watch out for the stickers in the yard. It was a 12 minute walk to the beach but it was a pleasant walk. We did have to pick up and carry our wagon over a few spots on the trail.
