Lost Pond Cabin

The cabin was cozy, clean and exactly what we needed for a weekend in the Adirondacks

We chose this cabin due to how secluded it would be. We had read the reviews mentioning mice and uncomfortable beds and took a chance. Neither my husband or I slept well the entire week we stayed. On the first morning we woke up and a mouse had gotten into several bags of chips and bread on the counter. We moved all food into the refrigerator and each subsequent morning we woke up to mouse droppings on the counter. We ended up leaving a night early as we had both missed our bed.

Very comfortable place to stay

Everything was very unclear we were promised a clean cabin that would accommodate 5. while it was beautiful there was no binder clearly stating the dos and don'ts of the property. Also the yards were not well mowed and there are no fires on the premises but there was a fire pit in the yard. The lack of clear dos and don'ts lead to me messaging the rental company several times during my trip along with other problems like a mouse in our fridge and the sink leaking awful. There were mouse droppings all in the kitchen drawers, stove and countertop upon arrival along with a chewed up spatula. The mouse was also in the fridge and ate our food While unit was beautiful the properties washed and dyer was awfully loud the dishwasher not installed properly and there were so many personal items at the cabin it was not clear what we could and couldn't use. As well as the the light switches not being labeled you walk into a room and have a million switches and half work lights in the room your in and half don't do anything very confusing. For being a place that accompanies 5 guest or more you should also have more then 4 drinking glasses. The kitchen has more wine openers then it did actual usable cookware . This was a frustrating stay. And I wish I could upload photos with my review.
