Brook Sound Cabin

There are no outdoor seating options. There’s a back deck, but no furniture - table or chairs. There’s a fire pit, but no chairs or even logs to sit on. The refrigerator was very loud and didn’t keep food very cold. The WiFi internet access did not work. Mice were a huge problem - there was evidence of mice presence daily - even multiple times a day as we went out and came back. They were out at night when we were trying to sleep (family member sleep on the first floor futon and could hear mice rustling). The house is ok for a cabin in the woods, but some of the furniture was old and worn/stained. Over all cleanliness was ok. We didn’t realize that VACASA provided linens. Booking and communication were easy. There were frequent email and text message notifications. Four minute drive to the town of Schroon Lake, which has a public beach, library, a couple of stores and restaurants.

I've always loved mountains and beautiful vista's. This area did not disappoint, and we had a great, private, and clean place to relax. The shower had awesome water pressure!

The house was close to town with a nice yard and back deck .

The fire pit and back deck with grill were great fun for us and the kids. It is a quick 3 minute ride to down and tranquil and serene place. Stewarts icecream is incredibly good and fresh! The lake is warm and peaceful, just the break we needed.

Beautiful, serene area. Cozy space. Perfect for an Adirondack getaway.
