Antler Lake House

Loved the place. Plenty of room, fun basement game room, nice wood stove. Close to Gore Mountain and Garnett Hill Lodge

We booked this home for a large family vacation. It provided plenty of space for all of us to gather. We loved the large dining room table with lots of seating. It is a super quiet, wooded location. No neightbors and very secluded. We did have issues getting a signal for texting and phone calls, but were in easy drving distance of Lake George and other attractions.

The house was in a beautiful location

We love the fire pit,but the chairs need update and cleaning.

Very nice, laid back place. Could have a few more bowls and other amenities in the kitchen. Wood stove was great after a day outdoors in the winter weather

This house suited our needs in terms of proximity to our destinations, bedrooms and plenty of bath towels. However, it is clearly not lived in. We didn’t have tissues, enough toilet paper, the furniture was broken (wobbly bed frames, broken dresser pulls, broken outdoor patio umbrella, broken Adirondack chair). The first day we arrived after flushing the toilet the entire house smelled of sewer/septic. We heard back from Vacasa saying the house is on a well and the water smells. Okay, we’re familiar with well water but this was overpowering. They mentioned no one stayed there the last 3 weeks and the last guests had a similar issue which makes me wonder why they don’t have people going ahead of time to run water, flush toilets etc? They gave us $100 inconvenience reimbursement for this entire day lost that we couldn’t stand to be in the house or feel like eating in. The information book had some discrepancies including the wrong address and nothing about what to do with trash but I’m told they’ve updated this. All in all we love the Adirondacks and it’s certainly rustic so we did not have unreasonable expectations, just expected it to feel less like a soulless Airbnb.
