Overlook Chalet

We enjoyed our stay at 17 Overlook Lane very much. The house was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us. It was cool during our week long stay in mid May so we appreciated the ample heating system. The location was perfect, being close to many hand launch sites for our boats. We launched at NW Bay Brook and Black Point Beach on Lake George. We also kayaked on Putnam Pond, Lincoln Pond and Eagle Lake. It was great coming back to such a cozy and quiet place after being out on the water. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with pots and pans and all the stuff you need for preparing a meal. The appliances all worked well and the large island was a great work station. The large deck was a wonderful place to hang out with a glass of wine after hours of paddling and exploring the beautiful shoreline of Lake George. We certainly would like to come back for another week in the off season.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home in this gorgeous house. The wall of windows that faces Lake George invites you onto the deck. The large kitchen was well used during our stay, from homemade breakfasts and dinners to night time snacks. And the beds were so comfortable! For me personally, I loved the quiet, peace of the wooded surroundings, overlooking the lake.

We are never disappointed with the cleanliness, comfort, and care that has gone into this vacation home. But this visit was especially appreciated with a new updated bathroom. This 84 year old felt much safer with a walk- in shower. Thank you! I don't know how many more years I will have; but so long as I am well enough, I intend to continue visiting twice a year with my Canadian kids and grandkids (that is how much we appreciate this rental!) The location is a perfect midway meeting point; but it is this thoughtfully appointed home that set the stage for memories we all cherish. It is bright, cheerful, clean, and the beds are incredbly comfortable. It is as though the owners wanted it to be as comfortable for us as it would be for themselves. This was another visit with my two sons and a surprise visit from my grandson. I cherish every memory at Overlook Chalet and am already looking forward to our autumn gathering when each of our wives join us.

A wonderful stay during the winter months, the house had everything we could need and had amazing views of the frozen lake!
