Edgewater Cabin

Attention and assistance we received from Vacasa was very good. The cabin was small especially 2 bath rooms, but we were informed about it from Vacasa when we made a reservation. They had 2 kayaks and 1 boat with oars and floating jackets. We enjoyed our stay of fishing, kayaking and swiming. Thank you.

Cozy cabin on the edge of a beautiful lake!

This little cabin is cozy and comfy, with a great front porch right on the lake. The best part of the property is the sandy beach that makes it so easy to get into the water and float in the cove. The new blue canoe was a welcome addition! It was very light and the adjustable backrests made it comfy. And it was easy to dock our pontoon boat right out front. All in all, a wonderful place!

The setting is lovely including the private beach and dock. The downstairs is very roomy for two people. The upstairs bedroom is a decent size and the bed was very comfortable. But, the configuration of the doors upstairs is very tight as is the bathroom. I really enjoyed the front porch and the view of the lake.

Beautiful cottage/cabin, private dock, beach and lake access. Nearby Chestertown has anything you need or forgot to bring Vacasa service was outstanding and holds a very high standard not seen today. Be sure to visit Crossroads sporting goods and for a great meal OP Fredricks restaurant. Definitely look forward to next year, Thank You!!!

This was our first vacation without kids (all grown now) and it was amazing! The house is perfect for a couple. There is a futon for another 1-2 but it's just a perfect little house for a wonderful and romantic getaway. The lake is clean and offers great swimming, boating and fishing. My husband caught 60+ fish and that's not a fish tale, that's true! Largemouth, smallmouth, pickerel and big sunfish. In the middle of the lake there is an area that is sectioned off area due to rocks. We parked our boat and snorkeled the area seeing so many fish and crawfish. The property is very comfortable and easy to get around. The house was very clean and well stocked, with a comfy bed and places to sit inside and out. The screened porch was great and would be perfect for outdoor sitting when there are bugs, but in Aug, there really aren't many. The wi-fi worked great inside and out, too. The area is somewhat sparse for active things to do, but if you like hiking and exploring, this is the place. Not too many restaurants in the immediate area but who needs it with a full kitchen. The only drawback and it was not a huge deal is the placement of the property on the main road. There are tractor trucks coming through and it can be a bit loud, but it was never intrusive to the point of frustration. I would highly recommend this house to a couple looking to get away from it all!
