The Stock Farm

Ithe house was amazing very cozy great and well kept. Id reccomend staying to anyone. Only real issue we ahd was with proeprty management. Id fire this property manager and get another one. Was a hassle to get in 30 minute delay on hold whily my identy was verified and signed docs. also when we cxheck out the cleaners showed up early and sat in teh driveway waiting for us to leave. This is a bit pushy in my opinion. We left on time not late but felt rushed

Everything was great. The beauty of the house and the land was way better then expected. The cow on the land living in the barn was an unexpected blessing. Loved everything would definitely be back.

House not cleaned. Condom wrapper on bedroom floor at check in. Hair all over bathroom floors. Pet hair all over back porch rug (pets prohibited?). We also had no hot water for 24 hours. Bed broke in middle of night when feeding infant. Bare minimum kitchen supplies. We had to go out and buy a can opener and a broom. Air conditioners not installed and extremely hot on arrival. Fortunately we found them and installed ourselves. First night we were stuck in the house as there was a bull that got loose and circling the house. Could not use back porch/ deck due to cow manure. Kids swingset not mowed so could not use that. The last day we lost power due to the storm and had no running water. Multiple times tried contacting Vacasa whom were not helpful and tried telling us there was no generator (when we could see one). We ended up checking out a night early because we could not have no electricity or water with infant and toddler in house. Vacasa was terrible to work with. May have been better if we could contact the owner and not a company from out of state who could care less. Only helpful person was Craig who tended to the cows. Will not return

Our family booked a 2-night stay for a ski trip for President's Weekend. What mattered to us the most was cleanliness and comfort of a home as we were looking to cook dinners in the property (i.e., we were focused on a property with a full kitchen, grill, woodstove, etc.). 1. The property was generally clean and charming ("rustic", as advertised!) and we were impressed upon entering. Check-in was very easy. 4-5 star experience! 2. Unfortunately the charm wore off quickly as we noticed a constant problem with flies. Not sure why the property had so many flies just appear both alive and dead, especially in the bedrooms. Maybe we just had a bad experience, but it was concerning to see so many flies in 20-degree weather... 3. Too many things did not work as advertised. The grill did not work (a big decision factor for us), and the indoor kitchen grill was only partially functioning. The listing also advertised a fireplace, but we were told to not use the woodstoves only after a non-refundable booking was made. Just to add salt to the wound, their wine opener was also broken... 4. Also note the mattress in the bedroom with the bathroom is uncomfortable. The mattress is thin, flimsy, and unbalanced. In summary, we thought the place had potential. The rustic aesthetics is very charming and the property was overall pretty clean (except for the fly problem). It's just things didn't work as advertised, which can't be overlooked.
