We stayed as a group of 6 while racing at nearby Watkins Glen for the week. The house has spacious and open kitchen/dining/living space which is great for groups, with the finished downstairs like its own apartment. Nightly fire pits and dinner on the deck were great. Super clean, comfy beds and everything you need.

From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the property. The house was very clean. It was evident they went the extra mile in preparing the property for our stay. We also loved the dog beds, dog bowls and dog towels. The house was perfect for our party of four. We spent a lot of time using the board games, watching birds and relaxing by the fire pit. Occasionally we struggled with the combination lock but we were always able to get someone on the phone to help us. They were professional and courteous. This house has a perfect location to our favorite spots in the Finger Lakes. We are planning to stay at Ruftop Ridge again.

Our second stay at Ruftop Ridge, we love this property. It is extremely clean with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, TVs in every room, plenty of room for our family. The owners have thought of every detail to make their guests’ stay enjoyable. It was too cold for us to use the lovely outside deck or fire pit. It’s just a short drive to so many wineries, breweries & distilleries (Living Roots Winery & Birds Eye Hollow Distillery were our favorites) & close to cute little Village of Hammondsport.

We have been fortunate to stay at Ruftop Ridge for the last 5 years. The house has all the creature comforts of home with benefits. Everything is top notch. Location is perfect for touring waterfalls, state parks, shopping in the towns around the lakes, experiencing wine tasting on all the lakes, wineries, breweries, and restaurants are minutes away. If you are into hiking, you can enjoy beautiful trails and waterfalls. There are waterfalls close by where hiking to see them is not necessary. Enjoying a glass of wine while sitting on the deck is a perfect place to be to watch beautiful sunsets.
