Excellent views, very quiet area, spacious house, loved that sunlight came into the rooms from multiple sides, almost floor to ceiling glass viewing in living rooms and master bedroom, and almost wrap around porch that enhanced the views as well as viewing the stars. Thanks for the boat dock, beach and fireplace. All these and more made the vacation wonderful and enjoyable. Thank you.

The house was very clean upon arrival! There is no air conditioning despite the thermostats and the price so bring extra fans. It is also very dark at night as the lighting is limited. The house had great amenities and stuff for lake activities and the lake was truly gorgeous. Overall it was a great house in an even better location!!

House was great - I'd give in a 4.5 but that's not an option. Sort of neo-mid-century modern with vaulted ceilings, two-story windows, huge stone fireplace - sort of like living in a '60s Douglas Sirk movie. Also, nice private beach access with a dock. We saw and heard lots of loons. Thoughts for future guests: -- the two-story windows are dramatic and great in the living room but if you're sleeping in the master bedroom during warmer months it's going to get bright really early, so consider sleep masks if you're sensitive. -- we had some issues with the wifi but reported and it was resolved by Sunday -- there was a canoe with plenty of paddles but the craft by the lake was not a traditional kayak and looked more like a small sailboat without the sail. There was a large kayak in the garage but it wasn't clear if that was for guest's use. I brought my own kayak so no problem for me. -- we visited during a very hot and humid week and brought our own fans, which I'd recommend. Despite vacasa's report that there were no fans on the property, in fact there are tower fans in most if not all bedroom closets. But they probably won't be enough under current conditions. -- And speaking of vacasa, while they were responsive to most questions, in some instances they were not. For example, I asked the fan question around 7/6 before we left and got a response on 7/13, two days before my departure. -- some of the descriptions of the property make it sound like it's really remote. That's not the case. Chestertown is five minutes away, with a full-service grocery store, drug store, liquor store, and at least three restaurants. So replenishing supplies in really easy.
