Dog-Friendly Townhome with WiFi, Nice Views & Indoor Pool

This property is in a convenient location, close to the center of town. The communication was good and check-in/check-out was easy. There is, however, a major bug problem. Ants are coming in through the kitchen window and getting on the counter as well as streaming in through the back door in the master bedroom and making a pile of sand in the corner. We killed three cockroaches and dozens of spiders.

Upon arrival, it appeared as if multiple massive dogs were in the house right before us. There was dog hair everywhere - covering the rugs, imbedded in the dish towels and rags, all over the floor and clumped in corners, and the laundry room sink was full of dog hair and dirty rags. I realize this unit is dog friendly; however, this was next level, to the point where the manager texted us after we left, asking how many dogs we had. The answer to that is NONE. That's how gross and hair covered everything was. In addition, the dish washer was full of dirty dishes, and many of the put away dishes needed washed, too. The only reason we stayed was that the linens were clean, which was our main concern. Getting the proper pool code was a nightmare and took a full day. The outside amenities were old and run down. All in all, this place just needs a VERY deep deep-clean and a much better cleaning service. We paid extra for this unit for the pool and convenient location, but we will not be doing that again.

The property’s location is a definite plus - close to town and easy to get around. We appreciated having a garage to store bikes and ceiling fans in the bedrooms to help with air circulation. Our family also enjoyed having access to the indoor pool, which was a nice bonus for the kids. That said, our overall experience wasn’t perfect. The keypad didn’t work when we arrived after a long six-plus hour drive, and we had to rely on a single key from a lockbox for the entire stay. With two families on different schedules, that was inconvenient. The Vacasa rep we spoke to said the keypad would be reprogrammed, but we never received any follow-up. We also dealt with bugs (ants, spiders, and even cockroaches), and the garage smelled strongly of cat urine - we were glad we weren’t planning to park vehicles inside. The beds were uncomfortable, and the TV was outdated and slow to use. Overall, while the location, indoor pool, and bike storage were convenient, maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues made the stay a little disappointing.

The home is very roomy with lots of amenities. The game console and shuffleboard were a hit. There is easy access to the area's National Parks while being a short walk to downtown. A great vacation getaway.

Really loved this property. Two small issues. The ice maker wouldn't dispense ice from the door and the master bedroom fan wasn't working. The location is very convenient to downtown Moab. Really enjoyed the propane fireplace out back. Perfect for a cool evening.
