Modern Waterfront House on Lopez Island with Beach Access and Stunning Views

Location just beautiful and very restful and quiet.

I never gave any rental place less than 4 stars. This is the first. The pictures were better than the actual experience. The location was great with beautiful views....However, our experience in the house was less than ideal. 1) Great view, but dirty windows and stuck sliding doors. 2) Dated kitchen and cabinets filled with spices that has been expired for years. 3) Uncomfortable beds. 4) Fees!!!! This is partly my fault. I didn't realize that booking vacasa rental on expedia will incur additional fees. The total 3-night stays were close to $2000. For the price, I would expect a bit more for the quality of the stay. Base on this experience, I won't book from expedia again and will not be back to this property.

The property was not hard to find although you will need to download the offline map from Google because mobile service in the area is very poor. The location is beautiful. Sitting on the back deck and watching the fog roll in and out of the small bay is lovely. There is a grocery store with limited items very close and the town is only 20 minutes away by car. The house itself is really pretty bad. The place is straight up dirty. Dead bugs, dust underneath everything tells of very poor cleaning practice. Dishes, cups were dirty with old food bits still stuck on them. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. The whole house smells of dirty, old rugs because the carpet should've been replaced a decade ago. Also, there were at least 4 mousetraps set and baited in the living area which my 2 y/o kid could have easily lost a finger if she found them before me. The wifi is essentially non-existent, it's old school DSL which will give you at best 2 mbps download speed and <1 mbps upload speed. Don't plan on being able to work or take a virtual meeting here unless you bring starlink with you. Overall, if you're desperate for a place to stay on Lopez, this can work with managed expectations. But, I will not be visiting again or trusting a Vacasa home because of this experience.

This home is very private with a glorious view of the bay. The title Mud Bay seemed kind of a put off, but we didn't experience any mud. It was hard not to spend a lot of time just watching the birds and the changing light on the bay. There are so many fascinating pictures and objects to admire. Our grandson loved looking at the music selections. All the appliances worked well and it was great to have a washer and drier. We'd like to come back some time in the future.

This property worked well for us on our recent visit to Lopez Island. The beds were comfortable, the view was lovely and the setting was peaceful. The appliances were all in good working order and there was plenty of kitchen items, plus a full washer and dryer. The WiFi was stable. It was not fancy but it was quite homey. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this property to others.
