Honestly, when we first arrived, we worried that we had chosen a location that was too far from everything. However, once we started exploring, we realized it was actually a fantastic location for everything we wanted to see and do. The island is very large, so most places require some driving no matter where you stay. We loved being just a short three-minute drive from a small beach. Our grandsons had so much fun collecting rocks and sticks and building creations in the sand. The water was much too cold for swimming, but the beach was still a wonderful place to spend time together. The historic waterfront was only about six miles away and had some great restaurants and fun places to explore. The ferry terminal for trips to the San Juan Islands & Orcas Island was about an hour away. As for the house and accommodations, we could not have been happier. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable, with beautiful views. The front porch was the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset. We also appreciated the beach chairs, barbecue and even a fun croquet set that we enjoyed playing with our grandsons. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay, and we made some very special family memories here. We would definitely come back !
This was a cozy cottage near the beach with scenic views. It had plenty of parking, comfortable beds, and huge tub to soak in. We visited for a family wedding at a neighboring house. We were able to walk back and forth and drive quickly whenever needed. The house was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
We like the Pickleball court and the closeness to the beach and the view and the house was nice and big and spacious
Clean house. Great view. More beds than expected. Public beach access is walkable, though pretty steep. Near Port Townsend ferry, Coupeville, and Freeland.
Great stay!
The house was very clean, had fans, and the bare minimum for cooking available. Arrival did not go smoothly. The door code provided did not work, there was no where to enter with lockbox keys, and until asking for a local agent the Vacasa customer service kept sending new codes via emails that never arrived. Overall fine, but the entry process needs some work.
