Luxury Oceanfront 5BR Home in Oak Harbor

The location of the house is very convenient and the views are wonderful. It was not very convenient staying with our dogs. The yard is not completely fenced and they kept going into the neighbors yard. The house is very spacious. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable. It is not very cozy, it could benefit from some throw rugs in seating areas. The downstairs smells of mildew. There are lots of light switches that are well labeled. The hallway lights do not function properly.

Super great house w super great ocean views

We had a nice stay. It is a nice house and a great location. Here are some suggestions we have. I did not text about the house before because we were on vacation and it would not have been restful for our family. We just had a death in the family and needed to be together. Mainly the house needs to have a deep clean. It was not even barely cleaned when we got there. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. There are many areas that need deferred maintenance and it you don't take care of them then it could become significant problems. We have rentals ourselves so understand all this. HOUSE SUGGESTIONS - DRYER NEEDS REPAIR, terrible noise (Can’t be in house with it on) - Door into master bedroom upstairs: the door is loose on the hinges and is dragging on the floor - There should be a working hot water faucet in the main bath upstairs. CLEANING: - Clean all floors, including under couches and beds - Couches had dust, hair balls, trash, and dirt under them - Windowsills were very dirty (Spent first two hours cleaning floors and windowsills) - View windows in dining room and living room were very dirty (Washed them all our first full day there. Shouldn’t have had to, but our view was impeded) - Kitchen breaker tripped whenever we used more than one appliance. Very inconvenient when you have dishwasher, coffee pot, water kettle, and microwave. - Baseboards should also be cleaned regularly - Rugs needed lifting and cleaning under - Loved the ping pong tables in garage, but garage floor had lots of mouse droppings. Should be cleaned before guests arrive. - Should be more than 1 TP in every bathroom - Bathrooms need washable mats for tub/showers. - towels and sheets were not clean, they had hair in them and stains. This house needs attention to details and a regular maintenance/cleaning schedule. It is a very nice house and with a little more effort could be an exceptional house to stay in. The sauna was great, the backyard with the view and all the fun games. We had what we needed in the kitchen to make most of our meals. The view was spectacular. Loved playing the foosball table and using the sauna.
