The house wasn't really clean and there was no BBQ like it's said it had. We had to purchase one since we only bought stuff to grill. A rusty Blackstone out on the deck wasn't usable. The hot tub was dirty with nothing available to clean it with. The yard was a mess all over grown and branches everywhere. The outside stairs by the fire pit where extremely dangerous 😳 and my family got poked by some sharp objects stick out of the mattress We had fun despite the disappointment

The owner is allergic to window coverings. There were so many windows that had no blinds or curtains on them that it was hard to relax. Even the primary bedroom had only one panel on the window that did not cover the whole window. The blankets may have been clean but you can’t tell because of the stains on them. It just gave me the ick. Since it was only my husband and I we went through and picked out the ones that had the least amount of issues so we could use for our bed. I think we learned our lesson and will stay in hotels when visiting islands moving forward. With the houses it is a roll of the dice because a lot of them are vacant due to being summer homes so they are not kept up.

Pros: - Beautiful home, nice location. Quiet neighborhood with view of the water from the top level - Comfortable beds - Loved the hot tub and fire pit Cons: - We were given the incorrect access code at check-in. I reached out to the phone guest help hotline and they were able to give us the correct code. The numbers were very different- think an 8-digit code vs a 4-digit code. - We saw about a dozen large carpenter ants throughout the home - On our last night we encountered a mouse in the basement where 2 of the bedrooms are located. The mouse was hanging out on the couch and ran under the washing machine. We could not capture it and take it outside, so it might still be there. The person who was sleeping downstairs opted to sleep on the couch upstairs for the last night. - There's a large TV in the basement, unfortunately it did not work for us. We were trying to watch the Grammys on Amazon, and every action on Amazon required a PIN we did not have. I couldn't even log out and log into my own Amazon account because the action of logging out required a PIN. We ended up watching the Grammys on my phone. Overall, we had a good time on our weekend getaway.

This is our 2nd time staying here and we could see some improvements have been made. Two of us stayed in the master bedroom but there are 2 bedrooms and a small bathroom with small shower in the lower floor for kids or another couple. Lots of room outside for games and on the patio. We found the sofa downstairs to be quite comfy for TV watching. WiFi was good. Nice view of the ships going by and sunsets from the living and dining room. We missed seeing that there was a game room and hot tub in the description but noted it in the guest book comments. Will definitely check that out if we come back!
