Overview

This lovely home on Lopez Island boasts a wrap-around porch, bay views, and plenty of space for up to eight guests. Located in Fisherman Bay on a four-acre lot, within walking distance to Lopez Village and the marina, the entire group will find each day here will be filled with fun adventures. On the island, you can enjoy browsing art galleries, meals at delicious eateries, and more. With its vaulted ceilings and wood-burning fireplace, the living room offers a great place to relax during vacation downtime. Watch a movie on the flatscreen TV while lounging on either of the two sofas or three chairs. Books and games are provided as well as cable, WiFi, and a DVD player so everyone can stay happily occupied. Meals prepared in the well-stocked kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, microwave, all the major appliances, and more, can be thoroughly enjoyed by the entire family at the dining room table for six. Two more can be seated at the bar stools, or feel free to head outdoors to the gorgeous covered porch and sit at one of the patio sets while you watch the wildlife meander through the yard. This home has a maximum occupancy of eight with the three queen bedrooms and the futon in the upstairs loft. The upstairs master bedroom has a full bathroom attached with a stand-alone shower. Beach chairs are provided, as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. Walk the half mile to Lopez Village for dinner and dessert at Bay Cafe or grab your morning coffee at Cafe La Boheme. Along with spectacular bay views, the marina offers fishing and rentals for kayaks and paddleboards so you can get a great workout while you take in the gorgeous scenery. The view was lovely, the place was quiet overall, the village easily accessible.

The setting of the Sunset House can’t be beat! It has a lovely view of the town and the bay, and a giant field in the front yard. The layout of the house is spacious and has high ceilings, and is very sunny and airy feeling. The house could definitely use some TLC, and the furnishings felt pretty outdated, but…I would stay again because of the location and the ample space for my family.

I stayed here with some employee's while we were working on the island. The house layout worked out well, with a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. We did use all of the beds, and even set up an air mattress in the downstairs living area. What was nice was the spaciousness of the house. Even with 5 of us there, there was more than enough room for everyone. The kitchen had lots of pots, pans and utensils. We cooked quite a bit while we were there, the stove and the range both were in working order and usable. It is an older home, so many of the finishes and items were somewhat worn looking. Nothing in bad shape, just worn. I was happy to stay here with my employee's, but would probably not bring my wife here for a weekend away. Vacasa management was responsive to messages and calls.

Positives: great location that is walkable to town, comfortable beds, extra linens and towels, nice and clean on arrival. Negatives: Main problem for us staying over Thanksgiving was that the kitchen was less than ideal (broken dishwasher, oven that was finicky about holding temp, no ventilation for the gas range). We also noticed little annoyances like broken blinds in the upstairs loft and 8 pieces missing from the puzzle we attempted. Overall we enjoyed the stay and it served our main purpose of providing extra sleeping space for visiting family. Thanks so much!

This was my third time staying with friends at this home and we always have a wonderful time. A nice big kitchen to cook in; multiple options for dining indoors or out; lovely, clean bathrooms; washer /dryer; plenty of room for everyone to spread out! There are lots of yummy blackberries to pick nearby and you can ride or bike to town easily. Highly recommend!
