Family Friendly Coupeville Holiday Home with Ocean Views Private In Law Suite and Garden Oasis

Not a great start. Checkin was at night (dark early here in winter) in record bad weather, and the door code did not work. Took over half an hour to reach someone. He was not local and could do nothing except try (that took over 30 minutes too) to reach a more local on call manager. Second code did not work either, ended up retrieving a key from a lockbox on the unlit very dark rear of the house. When we finally got in, there was an old propane bill on the stairs, burnt on food residue on the stovetop, pots needed scrubbing before use, and the kitchen faucet was so wobbly it nearly came off every time we used it. The front step railings were also unsecured. One bathroom counter was badly damaged as was the kitchen dining area floor. The accommodations themselves were adequate. But this house needs attention. Embarrassingly bad for something offered for vacation rental. And the service from Vacasa was sorely lacking.

Large, comfortable home with lovely furnishings, easily accommodating 9 people. Beautiful setting with wildlife viewing opportunities. Close to shore access. Quiet neighborhood in private setting and great views of area. Overall it exceeded our expectations. There was Initial difficulty with lock access codes, but eventually this was resolved by Vacasa guest services.

House has a great view of the ocean and surrounding wildlife. Very scenic!

Spacious house with all the amenities we needed for two families. It was the perfect homebase to unwind after a day of exploring the island. Conveniently located close to penn cove and Captain Whidbey Inn. Would definitely stay again if traveling with another family.

Location is good for coupeville but it was uncomfortable to not have a working lock and no one really did anything about it.

Loved the views and the double kitchens and double living space came in handy for our group.
