Water House On Main Street #6404

We enjoyed our stay at this unit in the Water House on Main Street. The access to the slopes was great, and the ski check was handy. Parking was easy - close to the elevators. There was room to spread out in the unit. My husband worked while I skied. It was a great place to return to after spending the day on the slopes. The weather was unseasonably warm so we made use of the balcony with views of the mountain. The town was just a moments walk away. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

Convenience to slopes and town is great, underground parking (for and extra fee) is nice, but should be included with the rental. In general the unit was in need of several simple maintenance items and cleanliness needs.

What used to be a premium rental is no longer the case. Several lights were not working, the kitchen sink was blocked, the faucet was literally falling apart, and there were issues with sewer pipe venting. We even found previous guests’ hairbands on the floor upon arrival. All of this was surprising given that the apartment was originally built and furnished with premium materials and appliances. On the positive side, once we notified management, a maintenance technician appeared promptly. He was fantastic and fixed whatever could be fixed. Still, these issues should have been identified by housekeeping rather than reported by guests. The newly introduced parking payment this year is also quite disappointing. That said, this property is still better than many other rentals in Breckenridge. The location is excellent, and the overnight valet ski and boot storage is outstanding, but it clearly needs more attention to maintenance and cleanliness to justify its premium price.

I liked the proximity to town, ski rentals, and the Peak 9 chairlift.

The place is falling apart. The ammenities are lacking. 1. Towel rail in bathroom fell off. 2. Toilet roll holder in bathroom hanging off wall 3. Not all lights in the bathroom work 4. Shower in second bathroom - tap fell off 5. Kitchen tap fell off 6. Refrigerator ice maker didn't work 7. Refrigerator dirty 8. Refrigerator shelves broken 9. 3 coffee cups for a 2 bedroom apartment. 10. 1 wine glass for a 2 bedroom apartment 11. Half the light switches did nothing... light bulbs blown of missing. 12. Half the light bulbs missing in the lift foyer. 13. Stool wicker so worn you can't comfortably use the kitchen stool. 14. Nothing was resolved during out stay. 15. We were told management would contact us but they didn't.
