The views of the river are stunning — there's no direct river access, but the privacy more than makes up for it. The home felt secluded and peaceful the whole time. The kitchen is well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in, and the outdoor space is a real highlight — the grill is great for cooking while taking in the scenery. Plenty of room for a couple, but it would easily accommodate two couples comfortably. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, giving everyone great privacy. Overall, a relaxing, beautiful home base for exploring the area. Highly recommend.

We booked for the river experience and outdoor spaces shown in photos. We left a day early. The kitchen is lovely with a stunning river view and well-stocked with cookware. The interior layout is very charming and unique. The outdoor spaces were why we booked though and we were very disappointed. Cobwebs and debris throughout the back, chair cushions with mold and bird droppings, a hot tub full of debris (dead bugs came out when we ran the jets), and a fire pit that didn't match the photos. We cleaned out the hot tub ourselves but then a skunk moved into the nearby bushes and we couldn't use it anyway. Inside, bugs were in nearly every corner (crickets, moths, spiders), and multiple ant traps made clear bugs are an ongoing issue. The owner was apologetic when we flagged it mid-stay, which was appreciated. But the gap between what's advertised and what's maintained was too big to overlook. My advice would be to ask the host about recent outdoor cleaning before booking.

We slept really well on the 2nd floor with the windows open listening to the river. Thank you!

Stunning views with lots of windows to enjoy the outdoors (Trinity River on one side; grassy meadow on the other side). Classy, innovative and comfortable furniture and beds/linens. The wooden stairs are sturdy and beautiful (thick maple, we think.). Great kitchen and bathrooms. The downstairs shower area - down a couple of steps from the master bedroom - was SO unique - with an open shower (not enclosed at all) with floor to ceiling windows on one side and a massive boulder (inside!) on the other. King-sized beds in the 2 bedrooms - one upstairs, next to a nice bathroom and a sitting area with TV. The home's location is quiet and restful. No nearby restaurants or beaches - so need to come prepared. The river is in full view, but not accessible because the house is probably about 50 feet above the river on a steep terrain.
