Bear's Meadow offers fun for the whole group: a large backyard for family fun, wraparound deck for dinner under the stars, and a small game table for some friendly competition. Plus, you can bring your lovely dog along with you for a small, nightly fee! Bear Valley Ski Resort is great for a day full of wine tasting and skiing. Plenty of hiking and photo opportunities are at Big Trees State Park. Snowshoe Brewing Company is just under a mile south, and Big Trees Market is right down the street for you to stock up on your cooking supplies! There is a Dollar General accessible by a three-minute drive for all of your convenience store needs. Need to grab some gear for your outdoor adventure? Sierra Nevada Adventure Company is a quick two-minute drive south down Pine Ave. Bear's Meadow offers membership privileges to Sequoia Woods Country Club and Mountain Retreat. THINGS TO KNOW Cell phone reception is very spotty in this area, so please plan accordingly Firewood is not provided; it can be purchased locally.

Every time we head up to Arnold, it is only to stay at Bear’s Meadow cabin! This cabin has all the amenities and is in a great location. We walk down to big trees market to get ice cream every day. It’s a wonderful place to spend time with the kids and recharge. The Internet is not a strong connection so if you need to do any work here be prepared for that. But the views are amazing and honestly, I think that makes up for it. A wonderful place to enjoy quiet time with your family. Absolutely perfect for the little ones. We try to come every year!

So well-kept. It’s like stepping into a time capsule from 1989. We loved it. Plenty of blankets to cozy up in the front room for movie night, great back patio overlooking a large meadow where geese land and honk hello, the upstairs cooled off very well (temp only reached high 80s outside during our visit), the bathrooms and showers were excellent, and there was no trace of dog smell from previous renters (this worried us). Bravo! Highly recommend.
