Explore giant Sequoias at Calaveras Big Tree State Park, or drive to nearby Ski areas. There are many restaurants just a 10-minute drive west. Find any meal of the day, as well as breweries and wine tastings. THINGS TO KNOW There are stairs to the front door. Cell phone reception is very spotty in this area - plan accordingly. The Blue Lake Springs HOA has closed off all amenities to guests (residents only) due to local restrictions and regulations.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The location was great and the house felt very private, with a lovely view of the trees. The cell service in Arnold is spotty, so be sure to screenshot the directions when you turn off HWY 4. The house itself has a fun, quirky 1980s cabin vibe that gives it a lot of character. While parts of the interior are a little worn and could use some updating, everything was comfortable and functional. The guest bathroom shower is quite small, but the upstairs bathtub was a pleasant surprise as it's one of the few truly adult-sized tubs I've come across in a vacation rental. One of our favorite parts of the house was the porch. It was such a peaceful place to sit and enjoy meals while taking in the trees and the feeling of being tucked away in nature. The quaint window seat was another great spot to sit. I also recommend the hike to San Antonio Falls starting from the end of Oak Court. Overall, it was a comfortable, relaxing place to stay in a beautiful location. If you're looking for a private mountain cabin with character, this is a great choice, and we'd happily stay here again.

I really enjoyed staying in this comfortable and cozy cabin. It is spacious, warm, and includes everything that you need for the stay. The kitchen is well equipped and everything functions well. I will definitely come back next time.
