Little Lazy Bear Retreat

Could use some TLC, but it is deep in the woods and yet near everything. Loved the birds.

The house was located in a quiet area, close to national parks. The house was clean inside, but the patio area had not been cleaned recently and was not very usable. There was a tenant extremely close to the house, sharing the same patio space, but we did not see them. The furniture was appropriate for the size of the house, which was quite small. The main bathroom shower experience was miserable. To begin with, the water pressure was very low. In addition, the faucets were old. When you turned the cold water faucet on, it would come on full (or not at all) and it basically cut out any feeling of warmth in the water. Definitely very disappointing. The clothes drier would cut out every few minutes. I would say fixing these things would earn an additional star from me.

This little cottage is located within walking distance to lovely trails that meander along a beautiful creek. The neighborhood is quiet and people are friendly.

The house has a lot of potential, but 3rd “bedroom” is misleading as it’s actually a small porch with a love seat that folds out into a twin bed, which had soiled bedding on it. The kitchen lighting was so dim we had a hard time seeing what we were doing. The outside spaces were not well maintained giving the house an unkempt appearance. The neighborhood was so-so; other houses were too close for comfort. Overall it was okay, but the dirty mattress pad was just a deal breaker.

We loved our stay in this eclectic home! Spent relaxing mornings with coffee on the patio, and operated from this groovy neighborhood with ease.
