Royal Gardens Beach Front Condominium

We really enjoyed the resort itself and the location. Being right on the beach was wonderful, the pool was great, and the on-site bar with drinks was definitely a highlight of our stay. The area has a lot to offer, and we’d absolutely come back to the resort but not unit 103. Unfortunately, the condo unit we stayed in was extremely disappointing. It was very outdated, the floors were sandy when we arrived, and the bed sheets were filthy- stains, sand, long black hairs, chips of nail polish, the list goes on… They were in such poor condition that I had to place a Walmart Express order just to have clean sheets delivered so we could go to bed that night. We were told no one was available to deliver clean linens so that was an additional 90 bucks for all 3 beds… There were several maintenance issues as well. The shower towel bars kept falling off, the master bedroom had a very small TV, and the kitchen wasn’t stocked well enough to actually cook meals. There wasn’t adequate cookware, and the refrigerator didn’t even have an ice maker—we had to refill four ice trays every day just to have enough ice. The resort deserves good marks, but this particular unit does not. It needs a deep cleaning, updated furnishings, better maintenance, and a properly equipped kitchen. If those issues were addressed, it would make for a much better guest experience.

While the view from the balcony was lovely and the proximity to the beach was exceptional - the property needs to be updated. It appears old and dirty. Also, this place is very very small-I don’t recommend for families with teenagers.

The unit itself is a little dated, but nothing that would ruin your trip. I love the fact that it had a sectional couch, which I’ve noticed is hard to find on these type of bookings. We were all able to comfortably sit on the couch at one time. It was an added bonus being on the first floor. I normally like being higher up because you get a better view, but being on the first floor, made it easier to park, be closer to the pool and beach access. The fact that you don’t have to an elevator was awesome. We would definitely come back and stay here again in the future. I would recommend bringing your own pillows if possible because the ones on the beds were terrible. Great View of the beach! There did seem to be a lot of smoking all over the property even though there were no smoking signs. That was a little bit of a bummer, but I don’t know if it’s because it was a holiday weekend and there were so many people there.

The resort itself was great. The unit was very clean and the location was great. The beds were not comfortable and the mattresses should be replaced, and the bed linens should be upgraded. However overall we were very pleased.
