Beach Club III 8-D

Condo looks very original with little improvements or updates but it was clean. However, we found the Roper dryer was not balanced so rocked back and forth, and it has rust around the opening where you put your clothes in. Wanted to cook pizzas but couldn’t find any oven pans (maybe didn’t look close enough) and couldn’t cook on racks because they are rusted. No Keurig coffeemaker but did have a regular 12-cup coffeemaker. One of the twin beds appeared broke so didn’t use. Master bedroom has carpet with stains but maybe has been deep cleaned and stains are just permanent. When we removed all the bedding off the bed in the master bedroom (as requested at checkout) the mattresses were gross with a lot of stains on them. Condo could use a facelift, some modern kitchen appliances, and the rusty appliance parts and dryer replaced.

This should have been an enjoyable stay in a conveniently located condo with a nice beachfront balcony. It was marred by some very unfortunate circumstances. Although it was after 4pm check-in time when we tried to check in on 5/11/26, we walked in to find large piles of dirty linens on the floors throughout, all beds unmade, and living room furniture cushions helter skelter; clearly the unit had not been cleaned. We called and the cleaning crew showed up while we were on the phone. While they cleaned we were left with no choice but to wait outside on the building balcony with our two fully loaded luggage carts in the unseasonable cold, rain and wind for the better part of a couple of hours. As three seniors and one adult daughter, we were all glad we were bundled up in warm hoodies. Once we did get inside, we were shocked to find that a large section of drywall had been cut out of the living room wall where it meets the kitchen counter, exposing insulation, pipes, rebar, etc. We called again and were advised that repairs could not be completed during our stay. Understandable, but shouldn't some effort have been made to cover the gaping hole to guard against possible insects or rodents? The prior renter had left a note advising that the remote for the living room TV did not work; he was correct. Given all of these unfortunate conditions and the fact that we were knocked out of the first two hours of our paid for stay and forced to stand outside in terrible weather, we politely asked if we could extend our stay by two hours on the final day. The response? "Absolutely not!" Instead we were "compensated" $72 (half the cleaning fee). It's a good location, but I must say this was the most unsatisfactory vacation we have ever experienced.

Overall great place to stay, right on the beach with an ocean facing balcony. We loved how we could just head down to the beach and enjoy the day without having to plan too much because we could head back to the condo if we forgot something. However,the garbage disposal didn't work making the kitchen sink smell bad. We contacted Vacasa to get it fixed. We were told a local company would call to come fix it but they never did.We also had to buy plastic forks because the kitchen only had three.We know the comfort of a bed is completely personal. For us, the master bedroom one was not comfortable. It was a memory foam top that just sinks you in and makes it really difficult to change position. The twin beds were also very uncomfortable. My daughter slept on one of them and the bed sunk in half like a folding bed. Maybe there's a weight limit on those (she's 115 pounds) because my son didn't have that problem (80 pounds). It was a challenge figuring out which light switch turned on which light but we made it work. The master bedroom bathroom smelled really bad, it was clean, just smelled bad.

The beach views and overall location were truly superb. We were in town for a Celebration of Life, and having family nearby in Barefoot made this property especially convenient. The setting couldn’t have been better for what we needed- accessible and beautiful. We did experience a few plumbing issues during our stay the master bathroom toilet required plunging several times within the first couple of days and later the kitchen sink would not drain. We did try using the garbage disposal. The water backed up was dark in color and began coming up into the dishwasher that said the property was responsive and communicated. Well keeping us informed about the plumbers visits and next steps they even offered to relocate us to another community which we appreciated. However, we chose to stay because this location was ideal for our situation despite the inconveniences we were grateful for the attentive service and unbeatable location.

We had a great stay. The condo was clean, steps away from the beach, and very spacious throughout. Would recommend.

Ocean view was awesome. Short walk to beach. Had a great trip.
